“Bloody fantastic”

Friendly staff, excellent service and food. Always busy which is always a good sign and still receive prompt service. Free wifi, stones throw from our hotel would highly recommend.

“Good food + good staff + good localization”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

I strongly recommend this place if you are hosted at Art Hotel or in its neighbourhood (Buda side, in front of the Danube river). I was in Budapest with a friend last August, and this restaurant was a very nice surprise. It was very close to our hotel (Art Hotel), and we had dinner there almost all the week. The menu was diverse, the prices not expensive, and the staff very kind, in special JOSEF PEPINO and VALENTINO.

“Delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We sat on the veranda when we visited the ‘Sailor’s’. The traffic was light, so we were not bothered with any fumes. As the sun set we watched the Parliament buildings light up – what more could we want except a good meal and wine. We found the food to reasonably priced and the goulash soup, served in a metal bucket to keep it hot, was, according to my wife, very very moreish. The amount was large enough that my wife didn't require a main course. I had the spiced beef salad as a main, which went well with the wine. The staff were attentive and helpful, the ambiance was just right, and it was close to our hotel. I'd recommend this restauran, and will visit again next time I'm in Buda.

“Nice view but the food was not up to standard.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Unfortunateley was were not satisfied with the food here. Locations is great with a nice view of the Pest side of the city.
We had the wiener schnitzel with potato salad, meat was dry and potato salad was not good at all. We also had the Fisherman's plate with pork and potatoes, this was quite tasty but the plating of the food was not attractive.

“Excellent food and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We searched a nice restaurant on the Danube shore and we found this one. We decided to eat here only by the nice location, not knowing anything about the rest. After tasting the gulash we realized it was a perfect choice. Then came the main course which was also excellent.
The staff was really warm and the prices were reasonable.
Loved it !
