4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

everything what you need you will find in this quiet good located hotel close to a main train station.

Room: My room was in the first floor, so there was just a view in the atrium - nothing special. but the room was quiet, the only thing you can hear is the hoover in the moorning - maybe a little bit to early in the morning.
the bathroom is seperated by a window from the bedroom and the jalousie for this room is in the bedroom, so if you want, you can always have a look inside :-))

I booked a room at royal park through the grabone promotions and received an amazing rate. The bathrooms were top of the line, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best I've vet had in a hotel. Cappuccinos, French toast, just great stuff. I don't know if I'd reccomend it at full price but if you can find a promotion it's a great place!

We chose this hotel because it was right next to our train station and we were staying just 24 hours in Budapest, leaving early Sunday morning. The location was perfect for this, 5 minutes from the station, and yet central enough that if you don't mind walking a bit you can easily get to the city center by foot.
The hotel was in excellent condition and clean and spotless. We slept very comfortably and did not hear a sound from the street or from other guests.
The staff were helpful and professional.

Budapest is a beautiful city to visit, places probably best summed up as shabby chic. Clearly it's a poor country but trying hard to regenerate. The hotel is located 200m from Keleti station in an unsavoury side street that feels a bit intimidating after dark. Having said that there was no undesired attention from the locals that hang around. Budapest is generally a safe city to visit with lower than average crime.

Getting around by bus, tram and metro is cheap and easy. Ask at reception for the Budapest Card.

The room wasclean and comfortable, with a glass screen between the shower and bedroom. A sexy idea if you're there with your partner but not likely to go down well if your mate is showering while you're watching tv.

Breakfast buffet was good and varied slightly each day. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is free wifi if you ask for the password and free access to Internet enabled laptops.

All in all a good hotel.

Royal Park has very good location, it is just within sight of Keleti Station, so you can connect trains easily, or take their public bus from the bus stop or train from the metro just nearby. Food is within walking distance. however the road to the left it looks abit shady. just take your precaution.
Rooms wise was nice and clean. Good beds and pillow. Very modern settings. Bathroom might be abit small for comfort if you are bigger in size, but tastefully done. Good for a short stay. Reception staff are friendly. Pity didn't try the breakfast as we had to catch a very early morning train.

Stoped here for a stag-do and expected to be stopping in somewhere basic but was plesently surprised. Yes the area might look run down but dont let that put you off, walked around the area during nightime and didnt feel worried at all.
Local shops nearby and fast food outlets within 100 yards to grap something quick.
Free wifi throughout the hotel and good connection. Very strange with the bathroom seperated by glass so able to see your room mate in the shower!!
Local bar nearby beer price was 190 Forints, worked out about 60p a pint.
