We have just returned from a long weekend break at the Danubius Margitsziget, Budapest. The reception was very welcoming and we had a room overlooking the Danube. The room was a decent size with Tea making facilities. The spa area was very relaxing, and it was nice you could walk down to the spa from your room in your robe and flipflops. They do discourage people to walk about around reception level wearing the robes and after seeing one gentleman I can understand why! The island was so peaceful. No cars allowed. The open air theatre/zoo and gardens aredelightful. And I never knew Hungarians were so fit. There is a running track around the island and not a minute passess without someone jogging along.
