“trip advisor members knock it out of the park.. Again”
i took a chance on this tiny restaurant 1 block from my hotel. Lets begin by stating the location of this place is almost dead center of the city.
Next the staff. There were three on hand, and all were well versed in multiple languages. Courteous and quick best describes this trio.
The food was better than expected.
I had the goulash. It was more soupy than thick. You still can't go wrong, this dish has a bouquet of flavors, Baskin Robbins, Budapest style.
The main: the Bali chicken, a house specialty. This dish consists of a breaded chicken breast, with a thick cream mushroom sauce, topped with melted cheese.
I ordered the grilled veges in wine sauce as a side. Paleo enthusiasts will be happy to know this came without potatoes. No filler, just pure pepper, zucchini and eggplant.
Be forewarned, every vege dish in Budapest has an Easter egg. A slice of Hungarian hot pepper. It's the single slice of light green piece that isn't cooked. Personally, It was a welcome surprise.
Come with an appetite, their main dishes are meant for two but so good, I finished mine solo. Also, come early, this place fills up fast, and from what I could see, no wait list.
