“A secret worth sharing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

A super restaurant. Delicious, reasonably priced food (try the goose), hugely hospitable staff, excellent English spoken. This was one of the real highlights of our visit to Budapest. The Huszar restaurant will be one of our first stopping-off points the next time we are in town.

“Tasty Food”

Nice traditional restaurant, serving good Hungarian food. The food was very tasty, the service efficient and friendly; prices were reasonable.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

What a lovely little restaurant.

The gent serving us was extremely friendly and helpful. He highly reccommended the Goulash and paprika chicken, a couple of the cheaper options on the menu, however it's not often you can have a fillet steak for £10 so that's what my girlfriend and I plumped for. Beautiful.

We had over a bottle of red wine and a lager and the whole bill came to less than £30.

Add to that the lovely live music provided by the violinist and his friend and this was one of my favourite meals ever. I would have returned but for wanting to explore the various other restaurants the City has to offer. I will definitely return here if I'm ever back in Budapest.

“Good food, but not the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Overall I liked the restaurant. We enjoyed the food and the live music was good. The waiter (who spoke English) was jokey to the point of impolite - it rather burst his balloon when he realized that he had forgotten one of our orders. The restaurant was rather cramped and I found myself looking at a rather generic soft drink cabinet.
