My husband and I stayed at this hotel while on our honeymoon and we had the most wonderful time here. We arrived on the 30th Aug and stayed in a deluxe room, complete with welcome gifts of fruit plate and sparkling wine.
The hotel is very modern, but very inviting. All of the staff we experienced were very professional and friendly.
Breakfast was very good - i believe some people have been less than satisfied with this in the past, particually for the lack of space, however we didn't really experience any problems and enjoyed our breakfast here every day.
Wellness area is amazing. The area is very clean and well maintained. The outdoor pool was very warm. We were a little surprised at how quiet this area was, however on Saturday and Sunday it got very busy. There was a football match on the Friday I believe and there were lots of guests in the pool area on the Saturday so it wasn't very peaceful. It was still OK though as there is plenty of space out on the grass if the beds are taken.
We had a massage and a body treatment which were included in our 'Wellness Package' and these were excellent. We also had a meal included in Araz. This was a limited menu, but we were both overall happy with the food. The only problem was that my chicken wasn't very hot and so i returned this, however it was dealt with right away.
We also ate (and drank) inthe Gallery Cafe several times. The lunch was excellent and the drinks/service were always very good.
The location we thought was very good, however we don't mind walking (in fact we didn't take any public transport except from airport transfer). I could imagine that some people may like to be a little closer to centre and the river.
Budapest is beautiful and I would definitely return and if I did would opt for this hotel.
For 5 nights including breakfast, one 3 course meal for 2 and unlimited wellness use (incl massage and body treatment each) was just over £400, which for a hotel of this class I would say is a bargain!!
