“Good food, decent prices and classy atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Was just here for lunch. We had nice weather and sat outside and had an overall amazing lunch! I recommend the goulash soup and goose liver with fruit marmalade and ginger crumbs! Also had my fave beer Soproni! Overall, a great place for a relaxing and nice meal!!

“Great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Just behind the market hall. A nice place to relax, have good wine and an excellent meal. Had the duck breast very tasty. Great for just casual eating, reasonable price and very friendly service.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We had lunch here after walking around the central market. It was a great start to our time here in Budapest. All the food was amazing and the wine list selection is fantastic. Great prices and a good chilled atmosphere. Simply a must go.

“Goulash to Gush Over!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Almost worth a visit to Budapest just to end up at this restaurant!

After shlepping through the huge food market nearby, a friend walked me outside and suggested this restaurant - the best I experienced in Budapest!

Start with the soda water - it comes in an old-fashioned soda fizz bottle. Then the goulash soup for a starter - delicious. I followed that with the Salad Nicoise which was made with fresh tuna seared to perfection. Couldn't resist the plum pie for dessert - served with a fabulous mascarpone cheese and plum sauce served in its own saucier.

I sat outside (early September), the waitress was great - couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience.

Would love to go back there!
