We were on the 4th floor but could still hear traffic in the morning so I'd classify the hotel as a bit noisy. Bring ear plugs and eye mask (curtains are very thin). Sheets were clean, bathroom was clean..ish (saw a few hair that had not been vacuumed), fittings generally bit old and tatty. Did the job for us because it was a one night stay after a late flight from budapest airport. At 30 quid we could not really complain. If you're looking to do sightseeing in budapest and are staying a few days unless you're really on a budget there must be nicer options out there. Very important you HAVE to book the airport taxi with the hotel, do not grab a cab from the airport they might try to rip you off. Our taxi (although it was a official taxi from the airport) put the meter on but took us to the hotel by taking lots of back roads and took a longer time that he was supposed to, even went round the block twice at the hotel under pretence of trying to drop us off just in front. How could I argue when I wasn't a local and didn't know the way. It cost us 20 quid+ for the cab ride, with the hotel it would have cost only 10 quid (3500 HUF).
