“My first experience of Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

November 2013 mini break for my wife and I. Flight brought forward by 3 hours so we arrived in the morning well before check in time. Roland the duty receptionist could not have been more helpful and found us a room straightaway. Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom extremely clean with modern fittings. All the staff were polite and friendly and all spoke English. Breakfast had plenty of choices. 5 minute walk to the Metro and an Aldi store across the road. The hotel has no restaurant but reception recommended good restaurants in the vicinity.

19th to 25th October, 2013. Clean, comfortable room with all room lights controllable from the bedside as well as from next to the light in question. Wi-fi included, close to the metro station and to the train station (with a map in hand, one can navigate all through Budapest in the metro, no need to speak the language). New looking modern bathroom. Mini refrigerator stocked with some drinks in the room and also an small safe which you set your own combination for. Helpful and pleasant desk attendants. The breakfast buffet is not over the top but just one notch short of excellent. With freshly squeezed orange juices, grapefruit and apple juice, many different teas, a few coffees, hot chocolate, mineral waters, milk, cereals, eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheeses, vegetables, a few different breads, yogurts, muffins, fruit preserves, butter, foi gras, etc, etc. Two good restaurants at walking distance from the hotel too. If you are a walker you can go all the way to the Danube river in a walk, if not take the metro. Many beautiful buildings in between. I initially chose this hotel because it was cheap, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Dear Guest,

It was a great pleasure to read such a positive review about The Three Corners Hotel Bristol****!
During the process of the construction, it was our most important aim to create rooms which will meet all the expectations of our guests who would like to enjoy the comfort after a long walking tour. This is the reason why it was so delightful to read that you were satisfied with the facilities of our hotel.
Thank you for your kind words about the breakfast, as well. We hope we will have the chance to welcome you in our hotel again and provide an excellent breakfast and service during your next stay!

Kind regards,

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Me and my partner have stayed at hotel Bristol on several occasions since 2010 and have loved every minute of it. Great breakfast, nice and clean rooms, wonderful beds and a staff that's very nice and attentive. A lot of those things are still accurate, the hotel provides you with great value for money. It's still very clean with a great breakfast, the staff is very nice (although they did seem a bit confused on occasion) and the beds are something we would love to bring back home with us. The location, close to the Keleti station (the area is slightly seedy but not dangerous), is not extremely central but still good with a metro station 10 minutes walk away and then another 15 minutes walk to the city center.

However, the place is now under new management (with an addition of "Three corners" before the hotel name) and although nothing much has changed on the surface, there were a few things that was slightly disappointing.

There are a few rooms facing the inner courtyard and we have always stayed in them because they are quiet, spacious and have a small balcony. However on this occasion, the balcony doors were closed with a key and we had to remind the reception several times to get them to unlock the door to be able to use the outside space. And once we stepped out on the balcony it was incredibly dirty :(

Another (minor) complaint is that the wifi was poor and unreliable on our first floor.

We still recommend hotel Bristol, but there is room for a few improvements.

Room Tip: Book a room facing the inner courtyard if you are easily disturbed by street noise

Dear Guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for having chosen The Three Corners Hotel Bristol**** again for your last stay in Budapest.
It is true that a new company took over the management of the hotel but our aim is to improve the hotel and to reach higher guest satisfaction as well and I was sorry to read that we could not do it in your case.
We investigated all the issues that happened during your stay and we are sure that it will not happen again. From 1st November we have a faster and more reliable internet system as well.
I hope that otherwise your stay was enjoyable and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the near future.

Kind regards,

We spend a weekend at Bristol hotel Budapest with my wife. The room was a bit small, but clean with comfortable bed. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The only drawback was that the wi-fi was not working at all during our stay (except 2-3 hours on the first day). They said there is a problem with the provider which will be fixed, but it didn't. Totally, it was an average 4-star hotel.

Room Tip: Choose the deluxe rooms if you want to have a coffee maker in the room.

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you that you have taken the time to share your opinion on Tripadvisor. I am happy to see that you enjoyed most of the stay but I also noted that some of our services did not exceed your expectations. Thank you for the useful comments, which is always important for us so we know where to improve our services.
We investigated the issue with the Wifi and the problem was at the provider and they could not fixed it for a longer time that we did not know in advance. Since 1st November we changed provider and upgraded the internet system and now it is much faster and we hope that we will have less problem with it.
I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to The Three Corners Hotel Bristol**** in the future.

23rd to 26th October 2013

As a group of 6 x ladies, we booked this Hotel and we had a fabulous time. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms and breakfast were first class. We totally recommend this Hotel.
The Hotel directed us to two excellent restaurants just around the corner from the Hotel, One you could "eat as much as you can" with a huge range of food, including freshly cooked, (which you selected) - very reasonably priced. The other restaurant, was typical hungarian food with live music (which was great fun)! Budapest is a lovely place to visit - go for it!

I booked this hotel in august for one night in october. 3days before my flight to budapest i checked the price and same date, same room it was £10 a night cheaper. When hotel management contacted, they said they cant do anything. Feeling robbed. Dont booked this hotel early ( especially off season )as you get the same room cheaper later on.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your holiday in Budapest. I do regret that we did not meet your expectations in certain aspects and you left our hotel with such a negative impression.

During the year, various actions are used and our prices are changing. Sometimes it happens that we offer lower rates depending on our occupancy.
You reservation was a non refundable booking, which was a special price at that time that you could only book with special conditions. That’s why you could not cancel this reservation.

I do hope that you understand our concerns and we did not cause you too much truble and I also would like to assure that we do not want to cheat or rob any of our guest.

Kind regards,

Gergő Galla

Yes, the hotel was excellent, comfortable, quiet and good value for money. Its chief feature is, however, the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff: at the reception, at breakfast, when leaving, helping to carry luggage, etc. We are glad that we stayed there.
