“Location, Service, Friendly and Efficient Staff - well done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This hotel is located just off the city centre area of Budapest and provides excellent walking links to all the major attractions and areas you will visit while in Budapest - bus's, trams, and the metro.
The accommodation is provided over four floors and some gorund floor rooms are availabe also. Each rooms offers ample space to sit back relax and enjoy your stay, rooms are all ensuite and provide phone, T.V, mini Bar (Charges Apply), daily maid service and A/C (Hot and Cold).
Tea/Coffee trays are available free of charge on request.
Reception is staffed 24/7 and all the staff are friendly, polite and very helpful and we witnessed Balloch (forgive me if i got it wrong in speeling) provide support, advice and assistance to some guest who had had a bad experieince with a mini cab and he was doing his best to assist and provide positive support in dealing with their issue even thou it was not the responsibility of the hotel - well done service beyond duty.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor and the hotel at present serves breakfast, which is ample and provide a hot and cold selection of food items, teas. coffess and again Tomaz our breakfast waiter was friendly and polite and smiling all the time.
The hotel also has a small bar service and guest receive a 50% discount (BOGOF) between 17-19.00 hours daily, if you want a drink before wondering out to explore the night life and local restaurants. Bar service is available during other hours also.
So now to the bottom line, would we stay again ?, YES, would we recommend the hotel ? YES and why ? location, service, value form money and we liked it -
How would we class the hotel ? - modern trendy environemnt with tradiitonal touches and a warm inviting staff that shows they care, wantto help and most of all are approachable and supportive.

Room Tip: We asked for a quite room away from the stairs and lift - we got a quite room, but it was next to th...

Arrived at 3am after a delayed flight. Got a taxi from the airport at the kiosk located just outside Arrivals. This costs 5800 Huf, approx £18. Be sure to get an airport taxi, and not a private taxi, as you will be charged double. We got a taxi on the return journey from an official rank outside the Parliament building, (big mistake) so don't assume that the cars on the rank are official, get the hotel to call a taxi for you.
The hotel was very clean, the rooms were fine and the staff friendly. If you ask they will give you a kettle and coffee, tea etc. for you to use in the room. I would've preferred a bath to have a soak in after being out in the snow, but I guess that is a personal choice. The breakfast was fine. Lots of choice and replenished often. One suggestion would be to use the fresh fruit in a fresh fruit salad rather than leaving the same fruit out each day. It just didn't look appealing or fresh by day 3.
There was plenty to see and do in Budapest and as our delay meant we only had 2 days there we didn't get to do all that we had planned. A visit to the thermal baths is a must, it felt so good to be in the steaming hot water with the snow all around. The hop on/off bus is a great way to see the city and we didn't then need to buy any public transport tickets. A cruise down the river is also a must.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value city break.

The hotel Bristol was perfect for our three night stay in Budapest. The facilities were excellent and the staff were very pleasant and helpful in all sections of the hotel.

The breakfast was good and the location was superb for visiting the city. We purchased a 72 hour Budapest Pass which made travelling around on buses, tram and metro very easy.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Budapest.

The 'double room' was really tiny and could only just fit a double bed with not much room around it. No view from the room (or rather we had a view of a wall). Apart from the size, the room and bathroom were very clean and modern. Staff polite and helpful but not friendly (no sense of humour). Breakfast was SPARCE and I struggled to find something to eat. They couldn't even be bothered to cut up the fruit and the daily fruit selection was apples and pears. The location is great for sightseeing and touristy stuff with a very easy commute to pretty much everywhere. Free wifi which is always a bonus. Overall, pleasant place to stay if you can ignore the minor inconveniences.

Room Tip: Although our room had no view whatsoever, it was very quiet so perhaps a good idea if noise is an is...

we've just had an amazing time in Budapest in that hotel. strongly recommend the polite, helpful and very professional staff who provided excellent service at all times day and night. breakfast had savoury as well as sweet pastries, all freshly made (I can taste easily when it's fresh, 'm quite fussy...) eggs and bacon were high quality and perfectly cooked! some fruit available although no fruit salad. the rooms were cleaned properly every day and I found nothing to complain about ;-) room kettle and tea bags are available on demand which we ordered, free of charge. Staff very helpful, providing map and happily expalined where things where, as well as safety advice which we were grateful to hear.
Location is very good, walking distance to Szechenyi baths, about 45min,very slow walk. amazing high quality restaurant called Rosenstein only few minutes away. also near Keleti station, so very easy to get around and find the hotel again.
Not noisy when the windows are shut. good insulation of noise from outside and from other rooms
the sauna was very clean and in very good oder, small and causy, can fit 3people laying maybe showers next to it and towels available there.
Would go again to Bristol Boutique Hotel with no hesitation!!!
Kosonom!!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in early December on a Travelzoo deal. We had a wonderful time, and I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotlessly clean, and the room was warm and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed Happy Hour in the bar, after an exhausting day sightseeing. The selection at breakfast was very good, and after reading Tripadvisor we asked for and received tea and coffee making facilities in our room.
All the staff at reception were very helpful organizing our taxi to and from the airport, and after a particularly chilly and tiring day, recommended a lovely reasonable nearby restaurant.
My only problem was of my own making. I forgot to pack slippers and the uncarpeted floor in the bedroom was a little chilly! Oh and Budapest is wonderful.

We stayed for 3 nights and was really pleased with this hotel. Firstly, the location was excellent; only a short walk from Budapest Keleti which was a short journey on the metro into the city centre and also the main station to travel further afield, which we did as we got the train to Bratislava.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was very pleasant, particularly the lovely breakfast each morning.

We both thought this hotel was excellent, particulalrly for the price and would certainly stay again.
