“Good value and good location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

The staff was very friendly right from the beginning!
On the first day Barbara (at the reception) received us with a big smile and marked some "must-go" spots on the map, moreover, she offered immediately to send an e-mail to the Parliament to get us a spot in a guided tour (which we didn't know that had to be booked in advance, and we managed to do it thanks to her!). We ate breakfast there and asked if there would be brown bread, which they got specifically for us, and that was very kind.
The bedrooms are not very spacious but are clean (the mattresses of the bed are great!), just like the bathrooms. There was a weird pipe nose coming from the bathroom, very annoying, but it didn't keep us from sleeping so it was fine.
Outside the hotel there's a metro and tram station, so you get anywhere very quick! But anyway, we almost never used them: walking in Budapest makes you experience the city in a totally different way (we went in December and it was fine to walk, despite of the cold), and it's very easy to get from the hotel anywhere! (There are a lot of homeless people "leaving" on the metro station, that creeped us out in the beginning but they just stand there so if you son't bother looking it'll be ok)
On the last day we checked-out very early and didn't find anywhere to mail some postcards so we left them on an envelope at the reception door asking if they could post them for us, and the did it.
Even though not being a very fancy hotel, it's very comfortable and in a good location, we'd definitely stay there again :)

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We stayed at this B&B for 5 nights in November. For the price we paid there is not a lot you can demand from the hotel, yet I think it´s a good option if you travel to Budapest and just need a place to leave luggage and have a sleep at nights.
Pros: Very well located. If willing to, you can take a walk to the historical center of Budapest, otherwise you can take the metro right from in front of the hotel and in two stops you will be there. The staff is very nice and helpful. They also provide some tips about the city. Rooms are cozy and clean.
Cons: Despite being in a high floor, the noise from the busy street which has a lot of traffic was clearly heard so if you have a light sleep you may have some issues. The beds are just ok in terms of conformability. The plumbing of the building is very old, which causes a lot of noises when using the toilet or shower and sometimes the bathroom had some smell like from sewage.
In our case during the 4th night the pipe got stuck and this caused a flooding in the bathroom. Next day we were moved to another room so the problem was solved.

We spent three nights in this hostel, the staff was very helpful and friendly. A bit expensive the transfers (you can get a city taxi for 4800 fiorin to the airport). Wil choose it again if back in Budapest.

The Europa Centerpoint Guesthouse is a great place to stay in Budapest. It is located right in the centre of the city right next to the metro station. Rooms are nice, well equipped and clean. The people are very friendly and have helped me with sight seeing, printing my boarding pass ... I would definitely stay here again! More than what I expected for the price I have paid. Thanks Cneterpoint!

You won't get better value for money than this accomodation there are often special offers on which make your stay even more affordable - yes it can be a bit difficult to navigate the first time but staff are so helpful - if you have a location you would like to visit they will advise you, check the venue is open and find out entry costs. Can't fault it really very clean, safe and warm. Great location for couples or small groups exploring the city as it is very central with trams and metro right outside the door. Not suitable for large groups as you need to be mindful of the other residents and very quiet when you come back at night. We, however will be going back - thank you Centrpoint!

Room Tip: most rooms front the main roads as it is on a corner but good double glazing helps keep te noise dow...

Nice, clean room, good price, really good location but a bit noisy:( would not recommend it for those who are staying with small kids. Was a bit hard to find, but really good value for money, staff was very friendly and helpful.

a good location and room ok it is clean, a bit small and the mattress is no good and it can be noisy too but for the price, i suppose it is ok. They have a mini bar in room which i appreciated very much, they have extra taxes when you pay by card. Reception is on the 4th floor ( no sign...)
