Cafe Cicero is a little hole in the wall restaurant my friends and I had accidentally stumbled upon during our trip to Budapest in Spring 08. It is a family-owned place with all items freshly made on the premises. Breakfast is a bargain. For about $6 US you can easily afford a combo meal of eggs, toast, juice and coffee. Really! Though please note that portions are European-sized, not American super sized. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is always very clean. Hours of operation are only during the mornings and afternoons - but they serve breakfast all day! The food is yummy! I highly recommend the cheese pie (quiche) and the latta! They also make home made chocolates for sale. We loved this place so much we ate there everyday for the week that we were in Budapest (seriously). It's a good place to go in Budapest for a dependable, affordable, delicious breakfast. Two thumbs - way up, for sure!
