“Excellent stylish hotel, great customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2011

I really can't fault this hotel- it's a really stylish boutique type hotel at a much lower price than you'd expect.
The customer service is excellent- the staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. They helped with finding places to visit in Budapest and how to get there using public transport- even writing instructions for the bus driver! I left an item of clothing in the room and they put it straight in the post to me when I told them.
The rooms are very nice and comfortable with air con that's virtually silent and black out curtains. The shower was the best I've had in any hotel. The breakfast was good with a hot food buffet including ommlette, fried eggs, fried peppers (very nice) and sausage & bacon. They also had a wide range of fruit, pastries, breads, cereals etc. I would advise anyone going to Budapest to stay here. Also go to the thermal spa in the city park- it's great!

Based on reviews, our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. The location was ideal, the breakfast wonderful. Our only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable and the linens were not a very the quality you usually find at a 4 star. It's a trivial complaint considering that everything else was exceptional.

Very modern hotel in a beautiful old building. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Rooms arent really big, but i'd have to be nitpicking to complain about that.

This hotel is great. It is in a fairly central location, with 2 min walk to the tram, and a few minutes to the metro. You can easily walk to most attractions too which is a great way to see the city.
The rooms are lovely, contemporary decor and very quiet. The only fault we had was that there was no light by the mirror, and there was no mirror by the dresser. But this was not a big issue anyway. We asked for more pillows the second night and they were very obliging, even giving us a toothbrush because one of us had forgotten one.
Breakfast was fab. It was a full continental with plenty of fresh fruit, cakes, croissants and hot full English. The waiters are very attentive and kept filling up the food and clearing the tables.
They have free tea, coffee and water til 5pm which is in the bar area.
Would def stay here again and not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Europe: the best place during our trip. High level of service, hospitable staff, excellent breakfast. Pull, modern, comfortable design in an old house - very atmospheric. A little to far from the busy streets - but it's another plus: charm of a quiet square with a church in front of hotel.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2011

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of November on a long weekend break to Budapest. We chose the hotel due to the great reviews on TripAdvisor and due to its location, a little way out from the centre.
We decided from the outset that we would go for a junior suite and what a good choice, a corner room at the front of the hotel with 3 double windows on 3 different aspects. The room was very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. I have described the interior finish as 'Bang & Olfsen' style - very contemporary but very stylish. The only let down on the room was the 'air conditioning' - or lack of it. Although it was near freezing outside the room was over 24c and no matter what you did with the controls it wouldn't get it any cooler until you opened the window - luckily there were plenty in our room!
The breakfasts were very good with a superb choice of hot and cold foods, fresh fruit, plentiful tea and coffee and even Hungarian bubbly at the weekend. The hotel does not do evening meals but there are plenty of places to eat both around the hotel area and into the centre of Budapest.
For us, the hotel was very well situated - we walked into the centre in about 20 minutes but was only 10 minutes from the main metro and even closer to a number of major tram routes. We purchased a 3 day Budapest travel card which worked out very well allowing you to jump on and off all the metros, trams and buses so that you could go where and when you wanted all over Budapest.
This was the first time we had been on a purely city break in Europe and we will be back, probably when it is warmer as Budapest has so much to offer, a really stunning city with so much to see and do.
All in all a highly recommended break, in this city and at this hotel.
