“Good for city break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

The hotel is positioned in an ideal part of the city for the tourist to visit but also in a quiet street. All the places of interest are within 5 and 40 mins walk and there are plenty of nice places to eat and drink close by. The staff are very helpfull . The hotel is modern and the breakfast is good.

This hotel has a lovely atmosphere and character, but what makes it really excellent is the staff. They are all friendly and accommodating, it's really a five star service. We arrived earlier than the check in time but they gave us our room straight away. We have a very early check out and they gave us our take away breakfast. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Having read so many favourable comments about the Hotel Palazzo Zichy we were expecting a good experience but the hotel and it's staff exceeded our expectations. The refurbishment of this attractive building has been completed to a particularly high standard. The bedrooms are stylish and very comfortable, bathrooms luxurious but it is the public areas that are so well designed. It really is a stunning property. Breakfast is extensive, fresh and served in an attractive light-filled room, presumably the former palace's basement. Would highly recommend Palazzo Zichy for its comfort, style and location - it's within walking distance of many of Budapest's sights.

My husband and i stayed here for 3 nights last weekend, and had a great time. We were very impressed with the style of the hotel, the staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times, we could not fault them. We had a room on the 5th floor and it was lovely and spacious. The room and bathroom were very clean, and most importantly nice and quite and very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of choice and a lot better than we were expecting. The complimentary hot drinks and mineral water between 9 and 5 was a nice touch which the hotel provided, the mocha was lovely!!

The location of the hotel was also great, very easy to get around to the main sights, with plenty of options for food and drinks near by. Would highly recommend this hotel, and very glad we went with previous reviewers recommendations and chose the Palazzo Zichy for our weekend in Budapest.

This hotel is everything it says on the label. When I read that the decor was grey I wondered what it would look like but it is decorated very tastefully. The staff are EXCELLENT, PLEASANT AND VERY HELPFUL. The breakfast there is will suit every bodies taste and plenty of it.

Upon arrival we were impressed with the interior look of the hotel&the receptionist was very friendly. Our room was faultless with all the trimmings you need and more...
In the basement there is a very nice sauna with good opening times and definitely try the self service tea/coffee in the lobby...
Budapest is a great city sometimes you have to look passed the exteriors of some of the buildings to which you will find some hidden gems like this hotel.
I would come back any time...

Staff, location, premises, price, room, price/quality ratio great for this hotel. Breakfast is absolutely perfect. Only minor thing was the climate control in the room, which seemed to be a little out of control. Not a serious issue though in March. Higly recommendable hotel in Budapest, if you want to stay away from the crowded areas.
