“A fantastic hotel, don't stay anywhere else”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

This is an amazing hotel in a wonderful city. Rooms are really amazing, they are very modern and finished to a really high standard and the cleanest of any hotel we've stayed in before.

The staff are so so friendly, the breakfast top quality and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here.

The location is not the most central and other hotels are better situated but don't be put off by this as the best bits of budapest are really nearby and the transport on your doorstep!

I would stay here again any time!

“A gem wonderful service extremely good value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

I love Palazzo Zichy it is my third visit there and I will come back. The nice touches such as the little card in the room thanking me for returning, the perfectly equipped rooms (small though), the excellent breakfast and wifi both included in the price. The personnel is extremely professional, courteous, the hotel superbly maintained. Website prices are incredible during winter about 80 Euros a nice for two people one cannot beat that. Highly recommended unconditionally.

“A hidden gem on a beautiful square in Pest, handy for the Danube, the Museum and University and walks up Gellerd hill to the Lib”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

I wasn't sure if the website would be an accurate reflection of the reality but I was very impressed. For £89 I got the British equivalent of a £180-200 hotel. The building is an excellent remodelling of old and new: beautiful original ironwork but with a modern twist. The restaurant is sunken to basement level but open to the skies with a clever skylight. Sauna was clean and fired up for early morning users with free towels/water/fruit. The bedroom was spacious, plenty of storage and comfy bed, large en suite. Only problem was the room was cold (it was snowing outside). Within ten minutes of ringing reception the controls were checked, a blanket issued and an extra room card issued so the room could warm up when I went out for dinner. Faultless, pleasant reception staff whose English was excellent.
Final tip: room 308 gets you the balcony overlooking the fantastic church, square and looking down three quiet streets.

“Excellent hotel, superb service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

This hotel is one of the very best I have stayed in, I can't find any faults with it. The service is excellent, the staff go out of their way to be helpful & friendly. There are lots of thoughtful touches you don't often get with other hotels- free coffee, bottles of water fresh fruits & nuts in the bar & things like travel adapters and metro tickets available at reception. The rooms are boutique style and really comfortable, the air conditioning is virtually silent, the showers are really good. The breakfast choice is great and even better now than my last stay- as well as eggs, sausage, bacon, yoghurt, vegetables and baked goods it now also includes fresh fruits, cheeses & smoked salmon. I cant recommend it highly enough. I would also recommend visiting the Szechenyi Baths if you're in Budapest- its great!

“Outstanding Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in February. I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for all round service and value. All the staff from the reception to the room cleaners were friendly, helpful and professional and never failed to have a smile. Situated in an old Palace the interior has been tastefully and stylishly modernised to an extremely high standard. The rooms are bright and modern with minibar, flat screen cable TV and sumptuous walk-in shower with huge and powerful dustbin lid shower head. Until 5pm the bar area becomes a guest lounge with free coffee and tea, bottles of still or sparkling mineral water and peanuts and nibbles which can be enjoyed in comfortable armchairs with free international newspapers provided. Breakfast is a revelation and is undoubtedly the best hotel buffet breakfast we have enjoyed in our extensive travels. The choice is overwhelming and everything is freshly prepared and replenished immediately. At around £60 a night this hotel is outstanding value and very highly recommended.
