We stayed in The Hungaria Guesthouse whilst staying in Budapest to see The Levellers. After nearly walking straight past it - it has a small sign on the wall with the name,a friendly lady let us in through the secure gate. We checked in and paid for the rooms- we were a party of six. After being directed up to our rooms, four of us in one room and two in the room next door, just about to shower and unpack, then the lady come up to inform us that we would have to change the two person room as that had already been booked out.. So we were moved to another room downstairs which was not as nice as the previous one. The shower tray needed replacing, the toilet seat was broken too but at least the shower was warm and well needed. It faced the railway line which was not a problem to us as were due to be out most of the night at a concert and sure to be tired when back. We did not eat here as we wished to sightsee around Budapest but I understand they do breakfast if required. There is a coffee machine in the reception/kitchen area which you pay for, again we did not use it. An ideal area to be based once you find it and only a 10 minute walk to the Metro.. would recommend staying here....
