5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and I can highly recommend this hotel. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and were extremely helpful. Our room was spotless (thank you Margie), it was centrally located and had everything we wanted. We would certainly stay again. From Mike and Sue in room 2.

I am so impressed with this place. It's called a hostel, but there were no amenities that I needed that were not catered for and it's very well located near to Astoria metro station! On arrival we were fully briefed on attractions we might like. The room was spotlessly clean, free bottle of wine, 24hr Reception and coffeee and tea, sweets and biscuits. We could hand over a pair of jeans for cleaning at 3am and by 9am they'd be returned to us! It didnt seem to matter what time we got up, the room was always clean and tidy by the time we returned. This place has only 7 rooms and the staff paid immaculate attention to detail and bent over backwards to be helpful. the breakfast recommendation (Bali) was a great little restaurant. I highly recommend staying here :-)

Room Tip: I didn't notice any noise. This is a pretty quiet hotel. I'm guessing they don't take no...

We stayed in this hotel in April 2015. It was a nice hotel, the room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was amazing! The location of the hotel is very good, it's right beside the Astoria metro stop so it's very easy to get around, and only about a 10 minute walk to Vaci main shopping street. The hotel is very hard to find, it doesn't have a big sign. It's across the road from the Budapest Panorama Central, under an arch and you can see a small sign that says Budapest City Central. Then you go up a floor and turn right and the reception is there. Other than the weird entrance, the hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful. We paid €3 each per person per night for the breakfast option that was in the Bali Cafe across the road - I would not recommend this. The breakfast menu is very limited and the service in the cafe was very poor. I don't think the staff had any time for people who had breakfast vouchers and we found that they were quite rude to us. They served other people before us that were seated after us, and didn't bring us any toast to the table which was supposed to come with the order. There are plenty of other places to choose from for breakfast that are inexpensive so I would recommend doing this and not going to Bali cafe!

We stayed in one of the economy rooms. The room consisted of 2 beds, a small desk and a bathroom. The room was small, but it suited our needs. The hotel is well kept and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a little tricky to find, but we were given good directions from the hotel staff. The location is great, just a short walk to Deal subway station. Highly recommended if your looking for an economical hotel.

I have just come back from staying in this hotel and thought it was fantastic. I had read all the previous reviews so I knew how to find the reception etc, although there were signs that were easy to follow.
We stayed in room 8 and the room was lovely and clean. Was also a fair bit bigger than I expected it to be. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was really powerful which was a pleasant change from a hotel for me!
We didn't include breakfast into our package as there are hundreds of places to eat nearby, but we were informed you could buy a voucher from the hotel for the breakfast. The only negative I could say is that there aren't any tea and coffee facilities in the room, however it's all available at the reception which is only a short walk away.
Whilst we was there we did a beer and cocktail cruise which I would recommend. There is a restaurant called Sir Lancelot that is also worth going too we had an amazing time(they have a website that's in English) and also a trip to the baths is a great day.

This hotel is wonderful. It is exactly what we needed for our 3 days in Budapest.
The entrance to the building is a little unsightly but this was expected due to previous reviews on here. It does however still feel extremely safe. Keys for your room are all electronic and fobs are needed to unlock doors.
On arrival we were promptly checked in (and we were early which didn't seem to be a problem) we were given a free guide and map by the receptionist and were very helpful! We were also given the tokens for our breakfast which was located in a small and wonderful cafe across the road. The breakfast was well worth the £2 per person per night charge which I booked through booking.com.
Rooms are spotlessly clean! Towels, air freshener, hair dryer, hand wash and shower gel are provided free of charge.
Most of all, the location was perfect! Everything in Budapest in walking distance.
