“Services are very Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

My luggage was delayed when I arrived hotel on 11-Dec afternoon. I was desperate but thanks for the front desk lady that comfort. The luggage arrived finally at hotel on 12-Dec early morning at around 3:30am! The front desk lady brought my luggage to my room and I felt so warm to her action.
I could have a good sleep then and also enjoyed my stay in this hotel and in Budapest afterward.

Thanks to the front desk ladies again!

Overall Services are very good and I highly recommend this hotel. ;)

we stayed here for 5 days last week, and really enjoyed our stay, it was very comfortable and welcoming, the staff were all very friendly and spoke great English. our room was large with a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom which even had a bath as well as a shower. breakfast was good too. also because we booked directly on the hotel web site we got a free taxi transfer from the airport to the hotel on the day of arrival, which was excellent. The Castle district is a good place to stay, its much quieter, and the transport system in Budapest is so easy to use, that getting into the centre isn't difficult

Charming hotel in Buda's old castle district, less then five minutes walk from Matthias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion.
Right next to the church you will find grocery store, as well as bus stop of line 16, which will bring you to Pest or to Szell Kalman Ter in Buda on its other direction. The frequency is excellent as rarely you will wait more than five minutes for this bus to arrive. We, however, preferred to do the route to Pest by walking: If the weather allows it, and you're not afraid to walk, there is a pedestrian walkway that leads from Buda to the Chain Bridge and Pest. The way up from the chain bridge in the Buda side back to the hotel took us some 15-20 minutes via 155 stairs. I have to say that before and after the walking up, there are a lot less guilt feelings when it comes to eating Hungarian cuisine....
We like small hotels in quiet locations and this hotel answered our desires. It was also Close to several good restaurants serving local food.
The room in which we stayed on the second floor was well-maintained, spacious and bright, and the same goes for the bathroom that was spacious and equipped with all we needed.
The service we received from the staff at the hotel was professional and courteous, and they were willing to advise and assist with a smile whenever we needed. Saying that, minor issue we found when we asked one evening to pack us something for breakfast, since we left early the next morning: They seemed helpless and eventually we bought ourselves something outside the following morning. During the other four mornings we were at the hotel, the breakfast was rich and varied as expected from four stars hotel.

We visited end of August. We were gong to stay 2 nights but loved Budapest so much we stayed an extra night. The room was very quiet and comfortable. I would not change anything about it. The staff was amazing. They resolved everything for us going way beyond our expectations and always with a smile. We arrived before our room was ready so they held our baggage for us so we could visit the town. The breakfast was always outstanding! The location of the hotel was amazing: A quiet street but close to restaurants and beautiful places. We left very early in the morning but they made sure we had hot coffee and tea and a light breakfast that was left for us. The hotel guests that we met during the breakfast were very pleasant. If ever we go back to Budapest (which we would love to do) we would stay here again happily.
Thank you for making our first Budapest experience such a highlight of our month in Europe.

Stayed here from 1-5 Dec 2014 in room 207 and our stay could not have been better. The staff were excellent going out of their way to be friendly and helpful and answered all our questions ranging from what bus to take into town to what restaurant to eat in and just about everything else you could ever ask. Our room was spotlessly clean and very spacious with a huge clean bathroom the free wifi worked really well and was much appreciated. The breakfast was varied and provided everybody with plenty of choice no matter what your taste would be. The breakfast room staff were constantly replenishing the food and ensured that there was always plenty for everyone. The breakfast room doubles up as the lounge and bar where you can get free tea coffee other hot drinks and water from 1200 until 1700 everyday. At night the bar is open and provides a range of drinks at very reasonable prices although rather disappointingly it was closed on our last night depriving us of a final farewell drink but this is only a very minor criticism. The hotel is located in a very quiet area within the castle district but the number 16 bus takes yo right into the centre of town and runs every 5 minutes or so. The area is spotlessly clean and there are a number of restaurants and cafes close by for your evening meal etc we ate in a restaurant close to the hotel called Osbudavar that provided good food at reasonable prices. We will be returning to Budapest in the Autumn next year and will be booking this hotel again.

We stayed in room 4, the hotel is small, very nicely located, and excellent staff and breakfast... the room was decent, with a bed, chair, desk, nice bathroom. HOWEVER: the television was microscopic, it was about 15 feet away from the bed, and though it was a flat screwn, it was abput the same size of my iMac computer... we both laughed when we got in bed. There is only basic international channels, no cable. The shower and sink never drained properly, and never were fixed when we let reception know. I would recommend this hotel only if it updated its tv, plumbing, and took away the tacky bible away from the bedside table. Average stay, great staff and breakfast... Tip, take the #16 bus everywhere as it stops from about a 5minute walk from the hotel. Buy a ten pack of tickets at the posta (post office) for 3000hf, or about 12$

Nestled high above the hills in the Castle District, we didn't really know how to get to the hotel at first since this was our first time in Budapest and we arrived at the nearest metro station which was Széll Kálmán tér before taking Bus No. 16 uphill to Kapisztrán tér, then taking a small walk towards Uri utca where the hotel is located.

Upon arrival, we grew to really fall in love with the hotel's location as we realised that it was only a short 2-minute walk away from the Matthias Church and Halászbástya (Fisherman's Bastion) with many great restaurants on the street behind the hotel, as well as a mini CBA Supermarket nearby.

There was also a currency exchange office located in the tourist information centre next to the Fisherman's Bastion which we found with favourable exchange rates at about 1 EUR = 300.48 HUF after commission.

Hotel receptionist was informative, helpful, friendly and they provided us with many recommendations on where to dine and tourist attractions to visit. They helped us book the 2-day Hop-On Hop-Off Tour and helped us navigate our way to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths.

We were also offered a welcome drink upon arrival and ushered into our spacious Duplex Room for 3 on the first floor which was in pristine condition (Photos attached). Loved the spacious living area, the matte leather walls of the bathroom as well as the mini-corridor that linked the bedroom to the living room.

Wide selection of cold cuts, traditional Hungarian cured meats, dairy products, cereals and pastries to choose from and four hot dishes to choose from which varied on a daily basis. Courtyard was a nice touch and I'd say that the entire hotel itself was impressive. Immaculately designed with an eye for detail.

Felt reluctant to leave but we will definitely return to this establishment without a doubt if we happen to visit Budapest in the foreseeable future.

Let the photos speak for themselves!
