“Very local restaurant serves local food, big portion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

The restaurant is not far from the heroes' Square, 8-10 minutes by foot. It does not strike you from the outside, like a farm house. The inside is decorated to look like a hunting lodge. The staff all speak some English and some speak a little Italian. The food as you can see from the pictures are in big portions, not very finely presented as French cuisine but very traditional as we hear from the locals. Good value for the price for sure. I especially like their Goulash soup.

“Hungarian Traditional”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Paprika was recommended to us by Daniell, our taxi drive. He even called and made reservations for us. He explained (he speaks near perfect English) that Paprika is the place, in Budapest, where the locals eat and recommend to tourists. With that in mind the service was wonderful, and the food plentiful and very inexpensive. I would agree, Paprika is an experience that everyone should share. And, the menu is in English (among other languages)!

“big plate, little quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I understand that for some people big portions of food are more important than quality and I respect it.
But in Budapest you can have big portions and quality at the same tine. Paprika is a very beautiful restaurant, staff is very nice and service is perfect. But food is not a plus here. Very touristic.

“Yummy ! ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

If you are hungry after sweating a lot in the bath nearby the restaurant, this is the place to go. A good restaurant to chill, great decoration, and the food is good value for money.
