“Burritos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

They have absolutely awesome burritos! It's a fun place with music that's not overwhelming. It's private in some areas and has free wifi.

“Great value for a capital city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

Café Romeo has two really good selling points; an extensive menu from which you would struggle to pay more than 10 euros for any dish, and the sunniest spot on the banks of the river Ljubljanica. The food is hardly haute cuisine or typically Slovenian, but many other restaurants in the city cater for those markets. Here you can choose from an enormous offering of salads, pastas, and wraps. The main courses are large enough to satisfy the hungriest of tourists and students who make up most of the clientele and at 9 euros for a large portion or 7 for a smaller version you really can't complain. My chicken pasta had a spicy after-kick (the waiter did warn me) and was delicious while my husband was unfazed by the size of his chicken wrap which came with plenty of side salad. If you want a dessert there is a tooth-achingly enormous range of crepes on offer, from the merely sweet (nutella and banana) to the medically unwise (white chocolate, nutella, cream cheese and rhubarb). However, Ljubljana boasts so many truly excellent ice-cream stalls that I personally pass on the in-house pud and save the calories for a post prandial stroll along the river.

About that sunshine...by virtue of the alignments of the buildings on the other side of the river, café Romeo is the only place on this stretch of the river to keep the late afternoon/evening sun until (nearly) sun-set. we sat outside soaking up the rays until 5pm in the first week in March. Obviously as the year progresses other places will stay sunnier longer, but I reckon Romeo will always win the sun-trap stakes.

“Best mexican in Ljubljna.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

For me this is the best mexican food in Ljubljana. it is a restaurant with fusion food. The atmosphere is nice although the music is usually too loud (inside) to have a nice conversation. The prices are a bit high but the food s delicious. My favorites are chicken burrito, salad with grilled goat cheese and Romeo pancake (strawberries and coconut). Soooo good!

“Best pancakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Food is quite average, but their pancakes are to die for! Food is served quickly and portions are big enought.
Good location and nice atmosphere.
