This place was pretty close to perfect. Our family ate at Julja on our second night in Ljubljana and had such a great experience we immediately decided this would be our one "repeat visit" of the week. The atmosphere is casual elegant. We saw plenty of people in jeans out for a Tuesday night meal, as well as couples and families dressed for a special occasion. The menu was, like many others in Slovenia, a blend of Slavic and Italian. My first meal, I enjoyed house-made fettuccine with morel mushrooms and pancetta. When we returned, I went for the beef goulash with polenta. Both were excellent, as is the local wine list. The Teran and Pinot Noir we enjoyed would have cost twice as much in the States.
