“Triple bridge is interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We found this bridge interesting and made sure to cross each bridge. Not much more to say about it, really.

“a gem of architecture in the very center of the town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

The Triple Bridge (Slovene: Tromostovje, in older sources also Tromostje[1][2]) is a group of three bridges across the Ljubljanica River. It connects the Ljubljana's historical, medieval, town on one bank, and the modern city of Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, on the other.
In order to prevent the 1842 stone arch bridge from being a bottleneck, a footbridge was added to it at a slight angle on each side in 1931, according to the architect Jože Plečnik's 1929 design. Works continued until spring 1932. In 1992, the bridge was renovated and since 2007, all the three bridges have been part of the Ljubljana pedestrian-only zone.
The central bridge is partly built from Glinica limestone. Other parts are built from concrete. The balustrades with 642 balusters are made of artificial concrete. The platform is covered with granite blocks laid in 2010. Previously, it was covered with asphalt.

The triple bridge is fun to see, it was my first time to see a triple bridge, nothing very special but the idea is nice.

“part of town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

As an elementary part of Ljubljana centre, this bridge adds to the atmosphere of the town. An impressive civil structure in its own right with a nice story behind "why three bridges". A must see while in Ljubljana which, actually, you cannot miss when visiting the centre, even if you try.

“The main bridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

There's a series of bridges on Ljubljanica, and this is the main one, leading up to the main square.
It has three parts, hence the name Tromostovje, meaning Three bridges. Easy to spot, recently renovated, and very well kept, this is one of the most important landmarks of Ljubljana.

A must see part of the old town.
