We had lunch in Paninoteka, which we stumbled across on our way back into the heart of the city, after the free 2.5 hour walking tour of Ljubljana. The staff were very friendly, during a bustling lunch time and we opted for the set lunch menus, one of which was Euro 6.50 and the other Euro 7.50 for three courses, while a .75 litre bottle of water was Euro 2.20. The set lunch was excellent value for money, including a soup course, large salad, main course and dessert. We had the corn soup and the pea soup, both of which were very good. For mains we had a chicken fajita with potato wedges and a pasta dish, which were also very good. For dessert, we both had a Blueberry cake. This was the most reasonable restaurant we ate in, during our week long trip to Trieste, Slovenia and Venice and is excellent for a hearty lunch.
