“Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

This park only does beautiful! Everywhere you go the scenery is stunning. We walked from the Vrsic pass, where you only pay 3 Euro to park, to the top of M. Mojstrovka and also to Slemme. The views from here are extensive across the Julian Alps and into Austria and Italy. The paths in the whole park are way marked and reasonably easy to follow. The valley of Soce is worth having a wonder in with the clear COLD water and dramatic mountains. The Vintgar gorge at Bled is also worth a visit but do as we did and visit at the end of the day 5.30ish when most of the coaches have left. Around Kranjska Gora there are many miles of bike tracks for families and also real down hill tracks requiring the full body armour, but we found no mountain biking of an English 'red route' difficulty. We spent 10 very hot days here and loved it!

“Great drives and options for hiking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It's easy to buy a vignette (toll pass sticker) when entering Slovenia from Austria or ask a gas station. Then simply drive thru all the toll plazas in the Vignette lanes.

The roads are pretty well maintained if very narrow and driving fast is NOT recommended, many people cut corners and there are signs for motorcycle accidents along the way.

Make sure you have a full tank of gas and plenty of snacks and water and enjoy the time. If you have trouble with your brakes don't go. If your car has trouble climbing steep hills don't go.

“Stick with the Dolomites”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

There is no doubt that Triglav is beautiful: beautiful mountains and beautiful lakes. Unfortunately, if you're driving from outside of Slovenia, you're very likely to get stopped and fined due to a complicated toll system on the roads. (The lack of clarity definitely feels intentional and like a revenue-raising scheme.) The Italian Dolomites have similar scenery, not to mention better food, and I'd advise going there instead.
