We had a great stay, and I highly recommend this place. Just understand that this is a B&B, not a 5 star hotel. Also, there was no air conditioning (at least there didn't appear to be in our room) which was fine even in July (the temperatures are relatively moderate). With the windows open it stayed cool enough in our room, but some people may not like that.
Overall: I really enjoyed this little place. I felt like I was in an Alpine wonderland. All of the flowers planted in the window boxes and the garden. The little hammock seats you could relax in and the tables outside that you could enjoy breakfast on if you preferred it to indoors. They had bikes that you could take out for free around the lake. They also had free wireless internet. The included breakfast was delicious. There were many options—cold meats and cheeses, yogurts, breads, pastries, several types of fruit, grilled vegetables, cereals, some type of a hot dish (scrambled or hard-boiled eggs when we were there), juices, bottle water, milk, coffee/tea, and a wonderful cappuccino/espresso maker. Really, the only thing the place was missing was a pool (which you wouldn’t expect a B&B to have), but we swam down in the lake—nice, clean water—and were fine with that.
Location: The hotel’s location is very good. It is situated a few minute’s walk above the lake. It was just out of the way enough to be tucked away, but close enough to easily get to the lake on foot via a pathway and some stairs. They also provided bikes free of charge if you wanted to ride down to or around the lake (the lake is surrounded by a great paved path perfect for a walk or bike ride).
Hotel Staff: The service at the hotel was very good. The woman working to put out breakfast always ensured as things were taken they were replenished and was very friendly, the person at the front directed us to a few places in town that we asked about, and the person taking care of our room always did a good job. We were provided with a map at check-in and pointed out several spots around the lake. Check-in and check-out were also very quick and easy.
Room: Our room was nice. It wasn’t huge, but it fit all of our luggage and us without feeling crowded. The bed was one of those ‘two beds pushed together’ which was fine except that I landed funny on the wooden frame in the middle a few times which wasn’t very comfortable. The room was clean, as was the bathroom and overall for the price (which I thought was reasonable, especially since it was the high season and included breakfast), I was happy with it.
