“Nice hotel with some strange features....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The hotel is relatively new and looks very nice, although it is a bit sterile & cold. The hotel is in close proximity to the beautiful lake of Bled and it has easy access to the town.

There is a nice outside terrace, a good size restaurant and also some meeting rooms. One issue is that the WLAN is not working properly in the meeting room, not even in the lobby in front of the meeting space. The closer you get to the reception the better it is. WLAN in the rooms is depending on how close you are to the hotspot. In some rooms it is fine, in others it's rather fragile.

The hotel has a very small gym that is part of much larger spa area. The gym has 4 cardio machines and some weights. However, it only opens at 1pm!! We had to ask the staff to open the fitness room at 7.30am to allow a morning work-out. And then they charge you EUR 5 to use the gym? Huh??

Rooms are nice and spacious, however the decoration is also a bit "cool". Highlight is the bathroom. There is only a tub, so if you want to shower, you have to stand up in the tub. But there is NO curtain. That means that each time somebody takes a shower, the whole bathroom (including the toilet see) gets wet and is flooded. I don't get that. After all the money you spend on building a hotel, why forget to put in a shower curtain or a glass door?

The food is ok (we had breakfast and lunch buffet). Nothing special but it looks and tastes good.

In summary: a nice hotel if you need to spend a few days in Bled.

The hotel has been recently under reconstruction. The location was good; just five minutes walk to the Lake. I had a single room and in my mind it was a bit too small. There is a safety box in the room. The bed was good. Unfortunately I heard some noise from the neighbourhood room. I visited in the Wellness center which was in the first floor of the hotel. Everything there was new. The massage was lovely. There was also sauna but you have to pay extra for it. Breakfast was nice, you could get even fresh omelets. I could book this hotel for my next Bled visit.

the location and the hotel rooms are perfect. the only thing is that the shower cabin is very small and will cause problem for big people. the water in the toilet are sometimes yellow which give you an unpleasant look and feel.

We stayed here for a week, the location is good with the castle/St. Martin's church/lake within easy distance. Rooms are very small but there is seemingly no option to book a double bed - all rooms have twin singles I was advised by reception, so not so ideal for couples. Rooms have thin walls & could hear snoring, bathroom activities from next room.

Staff on the whole tried hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our main issue with this hotel was the catering, which on the whole lacked taste & left the buds yearning for home. We were half board with a packed lunch included. Breakfast offered the standard fayre trying to accommodate a number of scenarios but in summary was not one to look forward as it should. Packed lunch was the same each day. Dinner was the most disappointing except for the Slovenian Dinner and the dinner at Bled Castle which was part of our package. The Tea/Coffee/Biscuits served late afternoon was excellent however.

Wi-Fi speeds were good (about 10mbps up/down) but there are a number of black spots including most of our room.

Like other reviewers I would observe that there should be a package for guests to use the Spa facilities. We were quoted €20 to use the facilities.

Room Tip: Insist on a room at the front with a balcony

Stayed here for a week, great location just a few minutes from lake so nice and quiet at night. Rooms are small but very clean with lovely comfy beds. Bathrooms are immaculate if a little dated. The staff on the whole are polite although some seem a little "dry" but this wasn't an issue. Breakfast had a good selection with lovely fresh pancakes and omelettes, one disappointment is the coffee, it's awful! We booked with Inghams and loved the extras of packet lunch and afternoon tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Not sure why they don't serve the same afternoon coffee at breakfast as this is good. The bus station is literally across the road and much cheaper than the Inghams trips if you're feeling adventurous. Alternatively we went with Darko in his vw gold taxi parked by the bus station. Excellent value for money (same price as bus but we were a party of 4) plus he gives you a lovely guided tour too. One thing we think hotel needs to reconsider is the charge for spa. Whilst of course there should be a charge for treatments as guest use of the jacuzzi and sauna should be free and not €15 each for 3 hour use.

The location was good, its just a 2 min walk to the lake. No views of it from the room (top floor, room 308) but nice scenery though. The hotel and its rooms have been recently renovated (past 1-2 years). They were nice and had a balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a a little small but not an issue at all.

The service was friendly and helpful.

There was free parking in the hotel at the back (under cover) or front. There were plenty of spaces available when we went. Wifi was excellent (11Mbs download) and the upload speed was 14Mbs. Why do I care so much a about that? We were on a 6 week trip and I needed to upload photos to dropbox and because of the fast speed this was quick. A normal speed is 0.3Mbps.

The breakfast was good (omelettes, no boiled eggs, fruit, different types of breads, pancakes, different cheese, sausages, bacon, etc.)

Nice, new, clean, modern. I reccomend. And i was suprised by quality of beds. I had no problem to sleep.
Nice spas an very good breakfast!
Very good hotel only 2 minutes walk from lake. So if you are going to Bled and dont have problem to walk a little its perfect.
