Good food and wine!

Nice place to be with a fine ambiance

Tip: sea bass is very nice one to order and ask for the cocktails :-)

“Nice food in nice surroundings. But far from perfect.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We believe the Porto Praga aims to be star restaurant, but they have to step it up a notch and eliminiate a few simple mistakes to really get there!

First: The menu is quite small with just a few dishes. Ok indeed, but then it really is essensially that every dish is available! The night we were present a few (including steaks) were not.

Also we were not so happy with our starters. The Boulibasse was quit cold and was returned to the kicthen for reheating! Also it was far to salty! Dishes with onion soup and buffalo cheese was good however.

For mains we had duck, lamb and sea bass, which all were very good.

Waiters were profesional and nice, however we got overcharged for a round of drinks which was cancelled before they were poured.

“A treat for the senses in the Praga district!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

This lovely restaurant is an oasis of calm in the Praga district. The food, service and ambience were all first class. We had a dish of chanterelle mushrooms to start followed by roast duck on a pear purée with new potatoes and grilled vegetables. Adam our attentive waiter made excellent wine pairing suggestions. We ate in a lovely outdoor courtyard instead of the luxurious inside dining area. A perfect lunch which we shall long remember. Don't miss this place!

“Delectable meal - just not particularly Polish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

I was told that Praga is a cool, up and coming neighborhood in Warsaw, so when I visited for the first time my friend and I found a restaurant to try that was in that area. My friend likes the finer things in life, and I had dragged him to enough milk bars that he was wanting a fine dining experience, and Porto Praga did not disappoint.

The waitstaff were incredibly attentive and multilingual (though it did take over half an hour to get a wine list out of them). The food was perfect, with a lemon sorbet palate cleanser between our starters and our mains. The music was jazz; the lights were low - this would be a great place for a romantic date. I must admit the French leaning international cuisine felt a bit out of place in the graffiti-peppered neighbourhood, as though we had stepped into a different world - and certainly a different country. This is a good place if you like the finer things in life and are sick and tired of pierogi.

Dear guest,

Thank you for dining with us and taking the time to write us a review. We value your opinion very much and we are delighted to learn that your dining experience with us was a success, although maybe not typical Polish as you may have been expecting. We do however have for this summer season many old Polish dishes on our chefs menu, so I kindly invite to visit us again.

On behalf of all of us at Porto Praga we hope to host you again soon.

“Excellent Seafood Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

I had dinner in Porto Praga with my wife and we can say that overall the food is great. The servings are just enough for us.

They served us with smoked salmon with cucumber. It was really good and their presentation is amazing. We also tried their cheese pierogi and this one we highly recommend it. Our main dish is baked bream and seafood pasta. Both dish are great. Even the tea that they serve are not the usual brands that you can see in other restaurants and yet it really tastes excellent.
