The Boutique B&B is a great value in Warsaw, especially for English speaking tourists. The location is excellent, in the center of town. It is just a couple of blocks off the "Royal Way", that is, off Nowy Swiat, near the "Palm Tree" one block across from the National Museum. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. There are only a few rooms, but the owner, Jarek Cholodecki, is adding more. The rooms are converted apartments in a large building and vary in size and cost (from 65E up to 95E for a double, lower offseason) but all are beautifully renovated with modern baths and are maintained very well. The smaller rooms and baths are pretty tight by US standards but comparable to other more expensive ones in Europe. The building itself is one of the few that survived the war and the building security is excellent. The breakfasts are very good, and you may be able to share them with Jarek himself, a fascinating Pole who moved to Chicago in the 80s and back to Warsaw after the breakup of the Soviet Union. Upon request he will arrange transportation to/from the Warsaw airport. We very much enjoyed staying here and will certainly do so again when we return to Warsaw.
