“The Museum of Life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2015 NEW

Do you want to know how to build a people? How to build a nation?

This is the place you must know. It is simply fantastic.

All Jewish museums I have been show destruction and death but this one is really different.

This museum shows life, and what the determination and endurance of a people can do!

Do not miss it. If you can choose only one place to go in Warsaw ... buy a sandwich and go to this museum.

Ah, you do not to buy a sandwich ... they have nice meals there as well for your delight!

God bless you.

“Best Museum in Warsaw”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2015

Fantastic museum, which is both well thought out, and tells the story of the Jews in Poland in an interactive and logical way. The Holocaust is obviously part of this history, but is only forms part of the story, albeit an extremely important part, and museum very much celebrates the contribution of Jewish life to the history of Poland. This is not a museum full of artefacts, but rather a platform to tell a story using audio / visual and interactive media. The commentary is balanced, and I particularly liked the section dedicated to Poland in the inter war period. The success of the museum also brings to the fore the ongoing lack of a proper museum in Poland to tell the story of Poland, and it's history and peoples. I spent over 3 hours in the museum in December 2014 and it was time well spent.

One minor comment would be that the guided tours are not great as they currently stand, and this is one museum one is better of explore to explore at your own pace

“Very large museum to explore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2015

Visually striking architecture. Exhibition divided into several areas covering the entire history of Polish Jews. The displays are beautiful, particularly the restored wooden synagogue. Lots of interactive things for kids (and adults.) If you aren't familiar with general Polish history, some of the context might be lost, but worth the visit anyway.

“Fantastic lesson of history in an amazing place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2015

The architecture of the building is really awesome. The visit - it is worth renting an audioguide, very informative and not expensive - takes 2hrs for the permanent exhibition about the history of Polish Jews. This is in fact not a traditional museum but an interactive tour through History. Fantastic exhibition, very well presented and explained, supported by a captivating but not overwhelming modern technology. Absolutely a must.

“Nice building but not much inside that you can't find history books”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2015

I personally go to a museum to get close to the history and culture through visual and art effects. This place, despite the beautiful architecture and structure, lacks content!!! There is a bunch of scripts and pictures from history books. That's it!!!
I am sorry but I think having a Jewish Museum in Warsaw, to me is more of a political statement to be made than reality.
