“Coming Late October, 2014”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2014

The building is open with 2 interesting temporary exhibits, but the main core exhibit, which promised to be fantastic, will not open until late October 2014. From what could be seen, the prospects are impressive, so hopefully the final version will fulfill the promise.

“A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING SHOWS PROMISE”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2014

I have high hopes for the permanent exhibit when it opens in October within this wonderful new building. But, they better organize it and curate better than the two small temporary exhibits. There is no narrative, just the presentation of facts. The exhibit is supposed to be about the involvement of Jews in World War I. It consists of a seemingly random presentation of individual Jews who participated with no explanation or narrative.

“A great delusion and disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2014

The place is outstanding when it comes to architecture, but paying for a guided tour is a major fraud. There is no proper exibition inside. On the temporary exhibition therre are a few copies of old newspapers and photos from the First World War, depicting the history of Jews within Polish legions. On 2 TV screens one could see some old chronicles but not too relevant to the rest.
The greatest disappointment was the guide, for which you pay extra, who looked like a bullied pupil, unprepared for the class, looking constantly on his tablet for hints what to say next. No engagement with the visitors, no voice modulation and dull as hell. We dedided to go on our own through the exhibition as there was no point to excalate our frustration and anger,
The delusion comes also from the box office, where you don't get a clear answear whether you get to see a proper exhitibition or not and that at the end you feel abjused and deceived. Diappointment comes from the fact that one should not open a museum without something to see inside and that if taxpayers sponsor such places, they should be given something in return - a proper exihition and guides who are educated and communicative.

“end of may 2014 still not finished”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

Fantastic piece of architecture. Good intentions with the name hopefully being true to what it will be. BUT it is not yet, and th be temporary exhibition is just a collection of artefacts and pictures with very little historical context. Some good interview films upstairs, but again lacking context. I had been looking forward to a history lesson but came away disappointed. Very annoyed at the warsaw pass leaflet that was not clear at all if not even misleading.. other stuff in the pass is not all that is made to be, so research carefully before buying: not like me who rushed into it. Some museums have free entry days. Some are only included in the pass in part. The red city sightseeing bus also is not as comprehensive as the other one. Lots of 'free tour' guides, might have been a better option as you pay I guess at the end if you are happy with them.

“Museum will be fully ready Dec 2014”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

The building itself has been only just completed, and it looks great.
The exhibitions are not ready. You won't be charged an entry fee, for this reason. The place will be fully ready in December 2014.
Once finished it will be great to visit.
