I think the museum should be kept in the unfinished state it was in when I visited in October - it was heartbreaking in its emptiness, almost a surreal experience. The special exhibit was a series of film clips on donors talking about the scraps of culture, family keepsakes and relics they contributed after the museum had to go public to solicit items to fill the void. This was so sad - the Nazis almost got their way with a museum to a lost race. Made me want to cry. I really wanted to ask the people working there if they were Jewish, thinking that if they were not it would be completely insane. I loved it and hated it - the whole concept. Go and experience it for yourself.
