“Europejski an excellent bargain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2005

Spent three days at the Europejski in early May. It exactly as billed and more than expected. The hotel has somewhat of the old soviet feel, but was very clean and effeciently run. Price was reasonable and booked on the Orbis website. The single room which I originally reserved was somewhat small (although typical for a european single), but for only a few dollars a night, I was able to move to a single-occupancy double room with twice the space. Location is terrific on the Royal Route, and a very short walk to the old town. I would certainly recommend this hotel for someone looking for a good location and a reasonable price.

This Hotel was everything it promised to be.. i chose it for the location and wasn't dissapointed, turn left and you can see the Old Town its so close.., turn right and you are minutes away from Warsaw centrum.. It overlooks Saski Park and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on one side.... location..?...perfect.!
As for the Hotel restaraunt and bar.. i can recommend both, good food and excellent service...
The Aperitif Bar has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere without losing its elegance or charm..and huge leather sofas add comfort to the experience..!
my room was slightly dated, but then i did have an economy single.. the bathroom was clean and modern, and the bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in.... and i had a great view over Saski Park...
Definately going to book the Hotel again for the summer.....

What a fantastic hotel!!! We paid about £40 per night here but have learned that we could have paid even less if we booked directly. The Europejski is located on the main tourist street right nest to the Old Town but also near to the Centrum and New Town areas. (Get off 175 bus at 'Hotel Bristol') We booked the standard double which turned out to be what I would class as a suite. We had an enormous room with a 3 piece suite and the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in!! The staff let us check in at about 11.30 as soon as we arrived. Anyone who travels in Europe quite a bit will know that you usually have to wait until 2pm for most hotel rooms, so I found this to be fantastic. The staff could not do enough for us and the breakfast was really nice. You could have either cooked English, continental or Polish choices. 12pm check out but you bags can be kept in a secure room until you leave. All staff spoke English.

When I booked this hotel via internet, I thought I would get a lesser class hotel than what I got. The hotel is a big hotel on a few floors. The hallways reminded me of the long and big hallways in large hotels in Russia during Soviet times. It is located in a very nice area of town, walking distance to the old town, the university and a very nice and big park with a memorial. There are many restaurants around the hotel. The only complaint I would have is that our beds were lop-sided although very smooth and confortable. Note that the shower curtain was very short and that could also be a little annoying because of the amount of water on the floor. Some of their staff were very helpful.
All in all a very good choice!

Stayed there with the family 18-19 August this year. Together with the much more expensive Bristol (now owned by Le Meridien, and supposedly the most luxurious and expensive hotel in Warsaw) accross the street this hotel is as close to the Old Town as it gets; on the first evening we walked an entire tour featured on hotel's guided tours list. Architecture is very impressive, contrasting to the modern and more efficient places like Marriott or Radisson. Corridors are huge, one could easily ride a motorcycle there, rooms are spacious and clean, restaurant(s) on the ground floors have huge rooms that can be separated with sliding walls. Breakfast was adequate. I found a special rate on -------------, at which the hotel was a real bargain.

We went to Warsaw because my husband had a conference but we are so glad we did. This hotel is elegant and has a feeling of grandeur with wide staircases and antique furniture in lobbies. Breakfast was included and was spectacular. Served in the dining room with waiters there was something to please everyone! Our room was large with a high ceiling and a queen sized bed. The bathroom was large and spotless. The Europejski is right in the centre close to parks and the Old Town and the University. We loved being able to walk to open air restaurants until late at night. Warsaw in now on our list of places to visit againand we will return to this inexpensive but great hotel.
