“Warsaw city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Felix, very clean and friendly .First thoughts were we could have done with being a bit closer to the centre but when the Trams were mastered didn't make much difference,Wifi is a bit tempremental so patients is a virtue.Dont get conned by the taxi drivers they charged us 68zl from the centre to the hotel .should have only have been 30zl and that was one of the recommended ones.

The Warsaw is slightly outside the town centre, but the hotel can easily be reached by tram. The hotel offers a reasonable standard, the value for money is good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel also offers a bar and a restaurant on the ground floor. In summer, the beer garden in the courtyard is quite nice. Basically the hotel is thoroughly recommended.

the hotel is 5km out of warsaw central we booked here cause it was cheap and very good value , its very clean wifi and english news channels on the television, and staff are helpful, to get there from warsaw central station ,is very easy catch the tram number 9 or 24 , out of the city , its around 15mins on the tram , around 13 14 stops, the stop is called wspolna droga , if you watch out for a bp petrol station and vw dealership the hotel is behind the petrol station , i cant tell you how to get a tram ticket , we just got on the tram and hope for the best.

Average business hotel, bit pain with the parking (they will send you to a certain parking place even another closer places are free...) . The reception stuff is polite and ok.

Breakfast is really overpriced, we have used the advice written here and went to the petrol station on the main street where my colleague and I had perfect breakfast (croissant + tea + orange juice and warm sandwich ham and cheese + coffee + orange juice for less than half what we would have to pay in the hotel for one person)

We were not very happy with the beds (very very soft) and heavy and very warm duvet.

The hotel itself is the usual in the Best Western chain: a simple but complete hotel, worth the value. The location, however, is not the best if you’re visiting Warsaw relying on public transportation. From the Chopin airport, the bus takes over an hour; to get to the old town, you’ll need to take 2 buses. Although the public transports in Warsaw seem to work really well (always on time, frequent alternatives even on weekends), they’re complicated enough if you don’t speek the language (ex: the maps show the stops names, but not their location), so I would recommend staying closer to the center.

This hotel does look out of the way on any map but it is really easy to get into the centre. just take the tram 5 minutes down the road and you'll be whisked into town. Takes 20 minutes by tram. Although you may want to ask how to get tickets. Might be less convenient if you want to drive, traffic seemed bad but that is like most cities I'm sure. The location is good because there is no traffic noise that you may get in a city centre hotel. Next door to a supermarket and petrol station so that's convenient for supplies. The rooms were clean and comfortable and bathrooms were modern although my shower door did not close all the way which was bizarre. There was a balcony and TV which was nice. I did not have the breakfast so can't comment.

The staff at the desk seemed quite apathetic, constantly on their phones or taking cigarette breaks which one does not expect from hotel staff. Also our room was not ready when we arrived 2 hours before check-in which is fair enough. However the man told us to come back within two hours and did not offer any apologies or to take our bags. Would consider staying again.

Located in the Praga district the Felix fulfills the demands of a middle class hotel perfectly. The neighborhood of the hotel is a kind of strange with old houses from the cold war time, nevertheless it is charming and quite. The tram station Wspolna Droga is about 400m away. From there you drive nearly 20 minutes into the city center. Reception and rooms were very good.
