“Amazing 5 star hotel in Warsaw”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2011

Hotel is easy to get to by taking local bus from airport. Close to Train Atation and Hard Rock cafe. within 5 min walk and viewable from front of hotel. Old town maybe 10 min bus ride from hotel. Inside of Htoel is Beautiful. Even though some construction was going on, was barely noticed. Cust service was great. Rooms big and comfy. Great beds, pillows, and comfortors. Bathroom all tiled and very lavish. This hotel will deff make you not want to leave the room. Have wieght room, spa, sauna, lockers etc in basement. Would deff come back to this hotel next time in Warsaw, or would comeback just to stay at this hotel. Like a home away from home. Free wifi. Very close to shops and restaurants. Overall a beautiful city.

Central location is excellent, opposite the main train station, on tram and bus routes and with a great view of the monolithic Palace of Culture. Entrance into lovely impressive lobby is very welcoming, check-in speedy, fuss free and staff generally could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Rooms clean, modern, well equipped (although like almost all continental hotels a kettle would have been appreciated) and the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced on a hotel. Only criticism would be the amusingly small duvet supplied. Bathroom spotless, modern and shower with good pressure and boundless hot water. Breakfast was good value at the special offer rate of 9 euro but not at the standard 18, buffet style with an efficient omelette station and a wide choice of breads, cold meats, cereal, jams etc. Avoid using the hotels own taxis as these are pricey compared to standard taxis. Overall a top class hotel in a wonderful city - visiting Warsaw stay here you won't regret it.

The hotel is a nice art-deco building with really nice lobby. It is close to the main station and the central subway station just across the cultural palace. The area around the hotel looks a little bit grubby, but save.
The room was quit large and convenient. Unfortunately I stayed in a room with really no view, because the window looked to a spur and to the window of the next room.
The bed is okay, allthough the mattress was quite thin. Unfortunately there is no wireless-lan in the rooms, but there is free wireless-lan in the lobby and in the first level. So when you want to have WiFi in your room, ask for one in the first level... the "business center" are just two computers in the lobby, but the use is for free.
The restaurant at the lobby-level offers good international and polish meals and it was not crowded. In the morning, the excellent and rich breakfast-buffet is also served in this restaurant. Don't be confused, that it's obviously not allowed to choose a table by your own - you will be seated! And the rigorous behaviour of the waitresses is maybe a kind of eastern-european charme...
One really negative thing was the scene, that after requesting a taxi at the reception the bellboy did not call a taxi but informed the hotel-owned limousin-service and after complaining about this (the limos are much more expansive than a normal cab) he said, to call a real taxi will take in minimum 20 minutes. In real, the taxis are just a couple of meters away on the main street. I think, this is a kind of rip-off. This really spoiled the positive overall impression.

I stayed for the second time in Polonia Palace on business. I reallly like the hotel, the lobby is very elegant and the piano bar is a good choice for a drink in the evening.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious with large, clean bathrooms. The decor is modern. Minibar in the room and nice touches (i.e. free bottle of mineral water). TVs are still old (not flat screens) but you get sound in the bathroom as well, which is funny.
Had unfortunately no time for the fitness room or sauna.
Breakfast in the morning was really good, lots of different bread and pastries and overall broad choice.
Location is convenient, close to the city center (probably 15-20min walk to old town or short cab ride) and c. 20min by cab to the airport (PLN 40-60).
Will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Had to be in Warsaw for New Year Eve. Very nice, classy hotel, centrally located. Well trained staff, all speak English. Breakfast is to die for! Good location -- walking distance to Old Town. Highly recommended

Overall I liked this hotel. The front desk and restaurant staff were wonderful! The street rooms are loud...the traffic is non-stop, day and night. I can sleep through a lot but did hear a lot of tire screeching through the night. I'm thinking that the rooms on the back side of the hotel are much quieter though. We were there 3 days and nights and not once did our room get vacuumed. I saw the same toenails from a previous guest for the 3 days we were there. NASTY...didn't take off my shoes the entire time. You do havde a walk into the Old and New Towns but you can walk the majority of Warsaw with no problem. Overall liked the hotel, just wish they vacuumed more!
