It's hard to miss this hotel – sort of a UN Secretariat building in the middle of Warsaw.
The middle of Warsaw is strange, because so much of it was wiped out during World War II and it has developed recently into a relatively attractive city – with some exciting new buildings. If there is an eyesore downtown is a huge cultural center built in the 1950s using Soviet style grandiose architecture. It is certainly worth taking a look at it.
The hotel is attractive, complete, just not exciting. Our room had what one would expect, with a fine view, but small for a five-star hotel. The hotel seemed to be "a bit rough around the edges" but a satisfactory for stay in the middle of the city.
If you are interested in walking the hotel is at a major downtown intersection and I randomly chose one of the four streets to walk along and it was a good exercise walk. Sidewalks were born and not filled with pedestrians.
