“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Beautiful hotel in Warsaw. Conveniently located near the tram, this hotel was so comfortable and relaxing. THe bathroom has a heated floor which was amazing after traipsing round in the snow all day. The bed was luxurious and we had a wonderful nights sleep.

The Sobieski was my home in Warszawa for a two-nights first time stay. The hotel is quite centrally located, a 10-minute walk or two-three tram stops (Plac Zawiszy) from the city centre. As it's located directly at a large intersection, you can't miss it. Directly by the hotel, some kiosks enable you to stock up what you need at any time, but that's about it.

Checking in went smoothly, and everyone I met spoke English rather well. Getting a city map and some pointers was no problem. The cleaning service was also good.

The room was modern in style, and somewhat large. Stowage space was ample, and the bed comfortable. I was a bit cautious about the huge amount of traffic outside my street-facing room, but the sound proofing proved to be excellent. Curiousities were the bathroom's sliding doors and television loudspeakers.

Breakfast was rather good, although not quite as good as I've experienced in other Radisson hotels. Except the scrambled eggs, everything seemed to be of quality, and the sliced fruit selection was excellent. Coffee service was a bit slow and tedious depending on the personell.

In all, I had a nice experience, and the hotel was excellent value for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Dirty hotel in the city center of Warsaw. We had a business room which has living room, bathroom, toilet and bedroom.
I could give this hotel not even 3 stars. The bed in very uncomfortable, the room was dirty. There was no hotel information and menu in the room. At 12.40 am we called customer service and said that there is not food menu in the room and asked for one, the guy from restaurant said that we have a bad luck and he cannot help us and it is too late to order anything, then he said maybe we can still eat something in restaurant on ground floor. When we got there 15 min before closing the same guy said that it is impossible to eat. The bold guy, I forgot his name was very rude and he said he is closing in 15 min and that is it.
The breakfast was good as a 3 star hotel. Everything was just buffet.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for business trip not for a private one.

Stayed here a couple of times lately at the Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel in the heart of Warszaw. Friendly and top rate service. The rooms are nice and spacey. The breakfast gives you a great choice of food to pick from. I always try and stay at this place

Decent hotel, but the location although near the center is a bit uncomfortable. You have a 15-20 min walk to the train station - which in February can be a bit harsh.
Service Ok. Rooms clean. Breakfast ok.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during a business trip to Warsaw. To be concise I'll just list the pros and cons.

Pros:
1. Good location close to business center of Warsaw.
2. Spacious rooms
3. Very modern looking and well-equipped bathroom
4. Free safe-box in the room
5. Complimentary water, tea, coffee
6. Free high speed internet
7. Great breakfast

Cons:
1. The rooms are not very clean. Quite a lot of dust on furnuture.
2. On Sunday the currency exchange office was not open, which is unacceptable as there were its workign hours and it is very difficult to change money in that part of town, especially during a weekend.
3. It's quite cold in the rooms and this can be fixed only from the reception (You cannot do it from your room).
4. The information in the hotel bookg (in the room) regarding the Pay TV channels is somewhat missleading and creating the impression that all the available channels are against payment.

I think the value of this hotel is pretty high and I would recommend it for business trips.

Not much to say about this place, which I think is in its favour. We were on a stag do out in Warsaw, and the hotel was very accommodating for a big group of drunken idiots. There was also a massive European judo contest being housed the same weekend, which had the potential for disaster! But, amazingly, everything went very smoothly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, there was a big breakfast with plenty on offer (nothing particularly special, but definitely on par or above average with your usual hotel breakfast) and there was a pool and sauna.

Walking distance to the town centre (10 mins) or £4 in a hotel taxi (£3 in a normal taxi). There was a bar and a restaurant downstairs which was pretty plain and (the beer) overpriced by local standards. They also gave us a bit of a hard time when we were in there, but I think our behaviour left a lot to be desired! So I would sooner apologise than criticise on that front. Other than that the staff were very helpful. It was a plain hotel - you know what you are getting with Radisson Blus usually, and this hotel fits the mould. Only problem was with the infernal keycards which seemed to reset themselves every couple of hours, requiring a trip back to the front desk to get them programmed!
