First time in this Hotel in Warsaw, Location wise, it's fantastic right behind and outside the Zlote Tarasy shopping centre but the street is quiet and no noise disturbing you. We stayed 4 night and unfortunately 2 of those nights we had the renovation going on right above us, we were told at reception when checked in but it would have been nice to receive something complimentary for the hassle. Our room was modern as to be expected, nice bathroom. Good air con in the room and no light in the mornings makes a good night sleep.

We'll be back in Warsaw next year and we'll most likely be back here, the location is too good to pass on.

Hotel is former Holiday Inn, but it doesn't look or feel like one. Refurbished and updated (refurbishment is on-going, so there is a bit of construction noise during the day but not obtrusive). Staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Rooms are decent size and comfortable. Bath has good lighting.
Highly recommend you spend the extra few dollars to get breakfast included. The breakfast buffet is excellent, but if paid separately from the room rate, it is about $25. The mall across the street and the local coffee shops do not open until nine so they are not an option.

Room Tip: Easy to make special requests in English via email from US

Stayed one night (part of a land tour)
Location is great.
Close to Old Town (15 minutes walk or tram a block away).
Mall nearby with numerous std restaurants.
Room was average,..a bit dated.. Bar was average.
Front desk was very friendly and informative.
Lobby sit down area is dated.

Most friendly staff me and my wife ever came across in a large luxurious hotel like the Mercure in Warszawa Centrum. Their services and guidance are unparalleled. Excellent location, their lobby is both spacious and very efficient and seamless for checking in and out, at any time of day or night. This place is definitely the place to stay, while visiting Warsaw.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor and the end of any corridor, for both quietness and view.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was a pleasant surprise. The room was large and clean (2 queen beds), good breakfast, a shopping mall just opposite the hotel's door.
The only con was lack of WI FI in the rooms (was in public areas).

Just checked in today, greeted by a horrible drilling noise. Apparently, they are still renovating this hotel and the construction noises occur from 9 am thru 6 pm during the week.
The sauna and jacuzzi are very nice. The rooms are about the same as other business hotels, and this is one has a very modern decor.
The staff does what they have to, but no more than that. I asked for tea bags for my room, which were never received. I wound up taking some from the buffet instead. They don't seem to have that 'what can I do to make your stay more pleasant' attitude that makes all the difference.
The location is ok if you are planning to take a train, but you will need to take a bus or tram to Old Town - it is a LONG walk! Also, the shopping mall next door is just so-so, and contains many of the same shops you find in the US.

We had stayed in the old Holiday Inn on this location every year for many, many years, so were curious to see what the hotel would be like in its reincarnated form as a Mercure. Well, it's even better! The bedrooms - while not vastly different from before - have been well renovated. Still, the same thin, old towels though! I don't think they've updated the towels in the 17 odd years we've been going there! The mineral water in the rooms is a nice touch, however. We found all the staff to be very friendly. The breakfast buffet is as good, if not better. And, of course, the fabulous location hasn't changed - next to Zloty Terasy shopping centre, the central station and Palace of Culture. The new bit I loved the most was the Winestone Restaurant. Superb wine (as the name implies) and a menu full of dishes you want to eat - from platters to pick at, to French dishes and Polish favourites (I think there is some sort of law in Poland that pierogi has to be on every menu!). Plus very friendly waiting staff. Definitely a change for the better. Check out the great photos in the ladies' loos - well, they made me laugh and the ones in the gents are pretty funny too (I take my research seriously). All, a great renovation and a definite improvement.
