“Mexican Delights far far from Mexico”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Was just in Warsaw again on another biz/pleasure trip and went with 2 Polish friends who know I love Mexican food. We tried going here on my last trip in Dec, but it was full up, so couldn't get a table...

We started with drinks...beer (Corona) for the gent, Mojito (22 PLN) for his lady, and a bottle of red (100PLN) for me, which of course we all shared in...

for starters we opted for the:

Entradas para dos personas (48,00 PLN)
Zestaw przekąsek dla dwóch osób

this is a platter of mixed 'pupu' (don't forget even though we were in Poland, I'm from Maui and pupu = appetizers)...it was advertised as being for two and there was plenty for the three of us to share:

chicken quesadillas, chorizo quesadillas, jalapeno poppers w/tuna and a few other goodies...of course they also brought to the table straight away fresh chips and salsa that was very good with just the right amount of ZIP to it...

we moved onto dinner, which was the following:

for the lady: a pork cutlet dish with guacamole, and I believe some rice and vegetable...

the gent had one of their burritos, as did I, these were on the section of the menu labeled Tex-Mex and were both 29 PLN...mine was with chicken...the Diablo I believe and not sure which one my friend had...

all in all this was a casual, fun, fulfilling evening...ended with some espresso for them as I finished off the wine...

this restaurant is well situated, close to the Opera House etc, there is on street parking, it's quite popular and as we were there on Halloween Eve it was very nicely decorated...

total bill for the 3 of us, with the above mentioned food items, one cocktail, a beer, and the bottle of wine was 300PLN roughly 100usd or 33usd per person plus tip...well worth it...
for exchange purposes I'm using approx 3.15 zolty to 1usd...

go and enjoy...

“Nice place, food okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

This place was really well decorated and had a great atmosphere. The waiting staff were so friendly. However, the food was just average and so I probably wouldn't go back because it wasn't anything special!

“The best Mexican atmosphere in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

One of my top 3 restaurants in Warsaw. Offers a very good selection of Mexican food and great margaritas, but it is the relaxed "southern" atmosphere which truly makes it stand out. Whether a business lunch, a family dinner, a quick snack or couple of rounds of midnight drinks at the bar, El Popo is always on my shortlist.
