“excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2011

Hotel is located exactly in the Old Town. Small charming hotel, with clean rooms, and everything that you can expect from 3* hotel. Can reach easily from Airport - only 1-2 hundred meters away from the bus stop. Perfect place to start discovering Warsaw. Very good and friendly staff. Funny decoration in the rooms - everything is handmade :)

Bad points - if you're late a bit for breakfast, you'll eat nothing. Breakfast area is quite small.
Also, hotel reception is located on the 2nd floor, so you have to take your luggage by upstairs, no lift. Or call a person from reception to take it :)

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2010

My husband and I loved this hotel; however we were a little concerned when we entered our rooms to find ear plugs on the bed side tables. We were happy when we found that it was a nice, quiet sleep (December, mid-week). WARNING: Not for anyone with any problems walking lots of stairs. Had my "aged" mother with us and she found the trek to the hotel (off the beaten path and no public transit allowed in the old city) as well as the climb to the 3rd floor (no elevator) quiet difficult, especially at the tale end of our long holiday in Poland.

i had such a great stay here. it was affordable, an excellent location for tourists (right on the old town square across from the castle!), staff was extremely friendly & helpful, room was minimal/basic but very clean, charming, and well-furnished. comfortable bed (for a single), free wifi worked perfectly (very important!), plenty of heat & hot water. i would definitely stay again. castle inn made my stay in warsaw a comfortable and stress-free one!

One of the most amazing rooms I have ever stayed in - has to be seen to be believed. The location is spectacular - just across from the castle. I did not have any trouble with noise or lights from outside - perhaps it depends on which room you get. The staff was very sweet and helpful, the mattress was okay, could have been comfier, but I loved the hotel and can't wait to go back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Amazing location - right next to Sigmund's Column in the heart of the old town. You cannot get any better than this! within minutes of everything.
Nice clean, updated rooms with spacious bathrooms. Very modern.
The price, the cleanliness and the location make this a wonderful spot to stay while in Warsaw.
1 minor drawback – there is no elevator – so if you have problems with your legs, back or knees this might be a nuisance. Knowing what I know now, I would still stay here based on all the pros.

Must do’s:
Celibar – just down the street, cheap beers and cheap great food!
Bar Mlezcny – milk bar – if you want to eat authentic Polish cuisine for a low price, go to this place – amazing!

Don’t do:
Podwale Piwa Kampania – it’s a recommendation in Lonely Planet, but I would never go there again. It’s an Americanized restaurant with massively insane sized portions – you can eat better and for less at other establishments

Great location in the Old Town, directly across the Royal Castle and a short walk from where the taxi dropped us off, . The entrance was quite dark and not welcoming. Our room (the reception desk immediately outside our door felt awkward) was clean and very spacious. There is a huge bathroom with a claw foot tub (no stand up shower) that we enjoyed using after lots of walking and sightseeing Warsaw. The colors, however, used in our room are too bright and bold for our liking. It made the room feel dark and heavy especially with drapes enclosing the door. There are many restaurants and cafes outside the hotel and away from it along the Royal route that makes for a nice short visit to Warsaw. Tried to communicate with the hotel a few times before we arrived to ask for directions but between their email and skype contact information, I did not receive any response. We stayed here only one night on the way to our next destination. As we had a lot of time before our flight, we decided to take public transport to the airport. There is a bus stop, again a short walk from the hotel that was a very convenient transfer even with our luggage. A newspaper booth sold the tickets and the bus was not full as it is at the end or beginning of the route. The bus dropped us off directly outside the departure gate of the international airport. Nice location for a quick stay.

Directed here by the tourist office at the railway station. It was a great recommendation. Small comfortable room with a great view of the square. Very helpful staff. Really terrific location, right in the centre but quiet. Would stay again for sure. Good breakfast as well.
