“Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

This individual hotel is right in the middle of the Old Town, in a pedestrian area, so no traffic noise. All the rooms are uniquely decorated and styled. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Only draw back was no lift, but apart from that, excellent.

Room Tip: Book Early

The Castle Inn is wonderfully situated overlooking Castle Square in Warsaw's Old Town. Because the square is a pedestrian area there is no traffic noise. The only downside to that is that our taxi driver was unsure how to get there and dropped us quite a distance from the accommodation. However, we subsequently discovered you can catch a taxi only about 100 metres from the hotel. Our room was quite small but perfectly adequate and the compensation was that we had a marvellous view overlooing the square. We arrived on a Sunday and the square was brimming with entertainment - trick cyclists, music, even a man standing on his head for hours! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Castle inn and can thoroughly recommend it as an ideal location.

Room Tip: Try to get the room with the dormer windows on the corner of the building - they overlook the square...

A great quirky hotel with fun & interesting rooms. The staff were extremely helpful & service was excellent. The location was superb....right in the old town within walking distance of bars, restaurants & tourist attractions. Because it's a listed building there is no lift but made up for by it's individuality. The only thing that could improve it would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. I would definately stay there again.

Room Tip: As there is no lift a room on the lower floors may be best.

Very welcoming hotel in the very center of Warsaw. Cause and comfortable room with an amazing view on the Royal Castel. Room was very clean, very nice and professional service for low price. Great location - Easy to get to the each part of the city, very close to the center and to the old city. I would definitely go back to spend there more time.

The hotel is beautiful and each room is unique - I was in the Napoleon room with a great view of the square. Staff was very friendly and helpful and it was great to be able to wake up in the old town and take in the sights early.

Room Tip: They're all different so check out their website and see what you like.

My partner and I had room 16, on the ground floor just by reception, and my son had room 26, which was on the next floor. They were completely different - ours was ultra modern, done out in black and white with big portraits painted on the walls, with a very modern bathroom, while the single room was a more traditional style. We hadn't requested any particular room, but actually we prefer a more traditional style. However, it didn't matter, as it was very comfortable, with a very good bed and lovely sheets and a nice big shower. We had a good view over Castle Square.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast cost extra, but was good. The dining room was very small, and more like a lounge with tables, but it was fine. You could also use it as a lounge at other times of the day. They provided water, and guests had use of a computer, though Wifi was also available. The hotel provided games and umbrellas for wet weather! What more could you ask for? The location could not have been better - right on the edge of the old town.

Some people may need to know that because the hotel is in a very old building, they are unable to install a lift. The staff will help with luggage, but you will still need to use the stairs; reception is not at ground level.

We found the hotel to be very comfortable and friendly and would certainly stay there again if we were to visit Warsaw again.

Room Tip: If you book through the hotel's own website, you can pay a bit extra for the priviledge of choos...

This hotel was in a really good location, directly opposite the castle. Most tourist sites were within walking distance. Room was very clean and modern. We had an African themed room which was nicely decorated. Very friendly and helpful service, they were more than happy to answer any questions we had. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: There is no lift so ask for a low floor if you have trouble climbing stairs
