“Lots of stairs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Great views up the too, but be warned, there are lots of stairs, some more rickety than others. Take a camera with you and be prepared to take some gorgeous photos.

“Overlooking the city!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Climbed the Clock/Bell Tower and the views from the top were very good, but..... a word of warning.... If you do it, then time your climb between the 1/4 hours and you won't get the bells sounding off as you get to the floor where they are!
I did not and the sound was very nice but quite startling and very LOUD!

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

A very impressive 14C building in the centre of a very impressive Old Town square. Equally good in the day or illuminated at night. Looks like it survived WW2 mostly intact. Spend a little time looking up at the fine brickwork and stained glass windows. How did they build these places?

“Surprisingly well filled museum & go up the tower!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We were surprised with the amount of well displayed things in this newly renovated museum. The displays were well done, and interesting.

They have a Rembrandt that they are very proud of, but we thought the stained glass windows and the baroque items were far more impressive - and well worth seeing.

The staff was friendly and attentive - and we were the only visitors, so they were running around making sure the lights were lit in the room we were, and turning them off when we left. They managed to do this without making us feel that we were a bother - we were impressed!

We spent about 2 hours in the museum, but did not spend a lot of time inspecting everything, so one could easily spend more time here.

We then went up the bell tower, which was great. Not so high as many others we have been up (for example the one in Koln), but it gave us a good view of the city, and also had a nice display on the way up about the renovation of the building.

The tickets cost 10zl per person without the bell tower, or 15zl as a combined ticket with the bell tower.
