“A charming, popular spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

My Polish friend invited me to La Ruina for coffee. The friendly, English speaking staff offered us a choice of coffee beans, explaining the difference in taste. We sampled the two cakes they were featuring that day, a flourless chocolate and NY style cheesecake. They were fresh and high quality. The shop is in an old building and they've kept the charm and created an inviting place to linger.

“A non-commercial, charming place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

+ very small, cosy cafe with a view on the street
+ great for a longer stay or dropping by for one quick coffee or fresh cake, for a date or alone
+ located not in the main city center, near beatiful cathedral on the Tumski island, you just need to go through the bridge - great for all people who find the Old Market Square for too commercial
+ a very little menu, but everything is delicious there and of good quality: great coffee, different tasty fair trade tea types and cakes almost fresh from the oven - I recommend it all
+ very friendly staff
+ good music in the background
