“Great visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

The tour of the Lech factory lasts about an hour and conveniently finishes in the factory pub with a tasting session! The informative tour includes viewing of the manufacturing and bottling process. Very interesting visit if you like beer!

“Free Beer!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

Great couple of hours out for anyone interested in:

1. Beer
2. Engineering
3. Production facilities

Had a fantastic afternoon at the Lech brewery tour on a recent visit to Poznan. The bottling room is mesmerising, watching the emptys be turned into that nights alcohol intake. English tour was provided and guide was knowlegable with plenty of into to keep you entertained. You do have to put up with a propganda film at the end of the tour telling you how much the SAB brewery has done for the world but if taken with a pinch of salt is quite informative so don't let that put you off and for £2 for the tour including a beer at the end you can hardly complain! If your planning on spending a bit of time in the brewery bar get yourself on an early tour as it closes relatively early. Lech based merchanise is also available for great prices.

“The source of Polish Beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2011

The Lech Brewery currently supports 43% of the Polish beer industry and the head office, SAB MIller, has quite a few other famous beer names in its stable. The English tour was arranged with a telephone call and and transportation to the brewery from the market square was by tram and bus. With the hotel reception printing us out a map it couldn't have been easier (or cheaper: 3 PLN for adults and 1.5 PLN for our university-aged students). We were on public transport for 30 minutes and dropped off at an end-of-line loop (hint: buy your return ticket before you head for the brewery, as there is not a machine at the loop). The tour itself cost 12 PLN for adults and 6 PLN for students over 18. It took about an hour. The guide was knowledgeable, but the the fermentation, setting and filtration part of the tour were not particularly interesting. Where the tour came alive was in the bottling line, where the five operating lines (3 of bottles, 2 of cans) were pumping out a couple of hundred thousand fillings per hour. Very fast, furious and interesting. We adjourned to the onsite pub for a 1/2 litre each and to be given a Lech beer opener. There is no food available at the pub. A good afternoon.

“Free beer!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2010

The hour-long brewery tour is informative, in English, and ends with a half of a liter of beer! Easy to get to on the bus.
