“Well guided hotel in Centre of Wroclaw”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Our experience in this Hotel was excellent. Service, rooms and breakfast all was very satisfactory. Our stay there was very agreeable.
The nearness to the old town was very comfortable.
A stay there could be recommended.

I liked Mercure out of other hotels I stayed in Wroclaw. I would recommend this to anyone.

Good: Best location - city center, trams, buses, river islands - all near by. And the shopping mall Galeria Dominikanski shares the building with the hotel
The rooms are really spacious, with a sofa and 2 chairs other than beds
Spacious bathrooms, with soft shower

Okay: Breakfast could include some fresh vegetables or salads. But they had everything else, like fresh breads, sausages, eggs, fish, lots of fruits etc.

I stayed here during the week for two nights having stayed at it's sister hotel the Sofitel on the days beforehand. I moved to the Mercure as it was cheaper than Sofitel during the week.
I was really satisfied with my stay as the hotel was clean & modern offering an excellent location, next to the Galeria Dominikanska shopping mall.
I was given a room on the sixth floor which was superb as it had been very tastefully decorated. My room had been refurbished, whereas my friend's room on the third floor looked tired and dated. Therefore, I would recommend that when staying here one requests a refurbished room.
All the usual amenities were found in the room, including complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities, and a flat screen television set, although the choice of English tv channels was quite limited.
Note also that internet use is free in the hotel lobby.
I did not use the room service or eat at this hotel so cannot comment on the food or drink aspects.
If there is any constructive criticism to be aimed at this hotel it is that some of the reception staff can be cold, robotic, and lacking in attention to detail. I think they need to lighten up a bit!
I would recommend this hotel as an alternative to the Sofitel and would be most happy to stay here again in future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor as these have been refurbished.

This hotel is well located for one to visit the city of Wroclaw. The tram stop is very close, and the walk to the city center is easy, roughly a ten minute walk. The parking is located in the hotel/shopping center complex. Most importantly, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I recommend this hotel for anyone doing business in Wroclaw.

I'm not trying to be mean. The hotel has a perfect location, nice and friendly staff; the room and the bathroom were clean. But somehow this is not a hotel I would like recommend. It all looked rather used and the bed was very uncomfortable. Perhaps if the windows were sound proofed I would be less strict on this place, but I could hear all the street noises (and drunk people screaming) all night long. I really doubt this hotel should claim to have 4*.

This was my 6 th visit in Wroclaw and I have stayed all other times in Sofitel hotel, which is a great hotel. This time we just wanted to try something else, and tried the Mercure Hotel, which is in the same chain as Sofitel. Mercure is however a 4* while Sofitel is a 5*.

The location is good, the deluxe room we had ( room 410) was huge with a really nice windows with a good view. The room wasnt bad, but the carpet had seen its best day and the bed and the pillows wasnt very comfortable ( kinda hard bed)

The general cleanliness in the room was also a bit bad. A coffee cup that was used and some dust here and there.

The worst with the room was the bearing of the sound from other rooms. We got wake up both days around 6 in the morning and we though someone was sitting in our bed an talking to us, but it was just sound from other rooms. Was impossible to sleep after 6 o' clock..

Anyway all in all a mediocre hotel with good service, good location and quite cheap. But I will not stay here again, because of the bed and sounds.

Booked a standard room for a one night stay. Great price (less than 70 Euro), very good location, just 500m from Old Town Square and next door from Galeria Dominikańska Mall. The building is over 10 years old, but all the interior looks very well maintained and with all modern equipment. Breakfasts are very good and also reasonably priced. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms are ok
