“Polish Tatry best option to relax and sightseeing in Zakopane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I was with my family at a short holiday. Hotel is situated not far from train station but far enough :). You do not need to worry about a train noise. It is has a very high standard. Clean, big, light rooms with free wifi and TV [which we do not used]. Very kind and helpful saff will help you with everything you need. You can start lots of trips from there to see Zakopane and Tatry. Of course there is a SPA where you can enjoy lots of nice cosmetic treatment or use a swimming pool. One of the best parts were breakfast, they were so tasty that I already missed them ;)

The facilities and cleanliness of hotel were good and well maintained however the "sofa comes to bed" for kids was not at all comfortable
Point to add; the right attitude of personnel, great location of hotel right at the heart of city and a greater swimming pool

The hotel has old charm, great breakfast, nice staff, good location. Room clean, interesting decoration. Swiming pool has few good massage options. Very nice experience having breakfast in nice maintained garden in sunny mornings.
We liked our room, when entered, but disliked during hot night. It was on the street side and noise from cars and crasy motocycle riders without silencers was rather big. So window had to be closed. Try to avoid rooms from street. One thing more - the shower cabin in our room was very small.

Room Tip: Not on the street side

Great location, wonderful breakfast buffet, fabulous spa and extremely helpful staff. Big rooms too! Easy walk to all downtown as well as bus & train stations. Mountain sports galore in the area, great to relax at night at such a peaceful and luxurious hotel.

Zakopane as a town is not very charming. It is totally overrun by tourists and has more souvenir shops than a person can count. However if you stay at the Grand Hotel Stamary, you are only a quick walk away from the departure point of the minibuses that take you to the all the attractive hiking spots out of town. After a day of hiking you can relax in your spacious hotel room or in the nice swimming pool and jacuzzi downstairs.
You do not even have to go back downtown for dinner - the hotel has its own restaurant, which is really good (including some vegetarian options) and not expensive at all. I would definitely stay at the Stamary again.

We spent two nights at the Grand Stamary Hotel in June. We took the bus from Krakow and only had to walk to 2 minutes from the bus station to reach the hotel. We arrived prior to check-in time; however, our rooms was ready and we were able to drop off our bags. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk to Krupowki street with many shops along the way. The hotel itself was very clean and had a wonderful charm. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to sit outside, but the hotel grounds were beautiful. Polish breakfast buffet had many options and was very good. The room was slightly warm during our stay; however, was otherwise very comfortable and spacious. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!

We chose this hotel partly based on reviews but also because we could walk to it on arrival with luggage from the bus station (less than 5 mins). The local buses to the walk destinations also go from the same bus station or across the road outside Bar FIS. Walk to the centre was about 10 mins.

We choose a two-room suite as we were there for a week. Coming back from walks some days in the rain meant that we had plenty of room to lay out damp clothing. Room was always kept clean and tidy. There was a fridge in which we could keep fruit and other food we needed for the walks.

All the staff were really helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent with slight variations each day. Omelets and waffles made to order. Good choice of evening meals. Dining room a pleasure. On the day of departure, we planned to leave before breakfast started so we were provided with a very ample lunch box with sandwiches, cakes, fruit and water instead.

We used the hotel indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi most days after a walk. Towels and robes supplied.

Wifi worked fine in our room on the 3rd floor.

The only negative was some traffic noise at night if we had the bedroom windows open. We solved this by closing the bedroom windows and slightly opening the door to the adjacent room where we had left the windows open to get ventilation.

Although we arrived and departed by bus, there is plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side towards the rear if you are bothered by light street traffic
