“Convenient hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Nice old fashioned hotel, very well located less than 10 minutes walk from the main street. In general terms everything in the hotel is great, as said the location is convenient, you can have a chance to find a spot and park your car inside --if you park outside you need to pay--, service was fine, breakfast was fair enough to start a day full of activities. The only issue is that the main shared areas are kind of cold which doesn't encourage you to stick around and enjoy its amenities.

we visited tuberoza shortly before christmas 2010 for a very first time. our daughter was 9 months old at the time and we were looking for a place close by to zakopane town centre.
upon arrival we were greeted by anna and jerzy who are the hotel proprietors. at this point we did not know that this place will become our base for winter holidays in future.
tuberoza has been beautifully restored and bit of art nouveau twist has been added to keep the hotel's true story alive. with it's beautiful bar, roaring fires and candle light it provides an extremely relaxed atmosphere along with a top service.
nothing is ever a problem. from arranging skiing lessons to washing our daughters mucky bibs ;-) the ladies in the reception are lovely and they can't do enough to make your stay even more comfortable.
last year a fantastic addition has been made to the hotel. anna&jerzy have decided to add a little restuarant which serves residents and non residents and combines the best of polish and european cuisine. i can definitely say that they serve the best trout in zakopane and the best key lime pie in poland ;-)
the lounge encourages the guests to spend time togehter and we have met some lovely people who will hopefuly be back next winter. everyone loves our daughter to bits and having her hiding under the tables, marching up and down the steps or singing out loud was never a problem.
the bar is well stocked and you can warm yourself up with the best polish spirits and mulled wine or cool yourself down with top quality polish beers all at very reasonable prices.
the hotel owners are friends with a grant skiing instructor called piotr and they can get you in touch with him if needed.
the hotel is also based near to wielka krokwia (ski jumping hill) which has a skiing school and nursery with english speaking instructors.
we are going back in january 2013 and we can't wait! the pattinsons

I like Zakopane very much and try to visit it as often as i can, and esspecially since i discovered "Tuberoza". This charming family owned little hotel with it's genuine style, great service, comfortable rooms, beautiful lobby with a fire place and even the discreet music - everything makes that you feel like home. There is more to say about "Tuberoza"! - the food in their restaurant is just delicious and for a very good price. I love their soups! (amazing mushroom soop or horse radish soup!). Lamb is great, fish is fantastic. Everything is fresh and tasty. Deserts .... impossible to resist their home made cakes.
"Tuberoza" is a place to truly enjoy!

Tuberoza was my B&B of choice whenever I've been coming over to Zakopane throughout the past few years. It never failed on any of my expectations. Apart from basic things like clean rooms and friendly staff, it has a very nice common area - lounge with fireplace, pool room, little gym and jacuzzi. The only downside though is the fact that not all rooms have access to a very spacious terrace, so its a good idea to ask for a specific room when making a reservation.

What really stands out though, is the newly opened restaurant which wasn't here before. It offers great fusion cuisine which is actually quite uncommon in very conservative Zakopane. After eating heavy meats and 'oscypek' in all the other places, it was nice to have a bit of variety. Highly recommended to anyone coming to Zakopane!

Helpful and friendly staff. The Tuberoza is styled to the period of the building and we found the atmosphere really relaxing. Breakfasts were good and meals from the menu were excellent and great value. The location was ideal being close to the centre but still peaceful. Access to the numerous walks was good too.

Tuberoza is in an excellent location 5 mins walk from the town centre (Krupowki street). The breakfast was continental, great a selection off breads, cold meats, cheese, cereal, yoguarts and a warm selection as well. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent the rooms where a good size with tv etc and always warm water for a shower, and the room cleaned every day with fresh towels .The staff and the owners of the hotel where absolutely fantastic nothing was a problem, food, serving drinks, extra pillows etc. My wife broke her leg skiing and the staff where so accomodating and caring making everything as easy as possible for her, even made a breakfast so it could be brought to the room.Even when we where departing the hotel for the airport the staff made an breakfast early. Have going here 4 years now and it is always great, and will be back again so homely and picturesq. Thanks for a lovely holiday

Room Tip: Have always stayed in the rooms on the top floor

We stayed at the Pensjonat Turberoza just before just before Christmas 2010. The location is excellent with just a short walk to the main street. The breakfast was very reasonable for the price. The room was clean and well maintained. Our son was sick the second night there (from eating in town) and the staff was wonderful in their quick and caring response to our situation.

Thanks, Turberoza for a great vacation!
