“A Perfect Setting for a Quiet Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2012

This was such a beautiful hotel! Rooms were very clean and were a great size. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and as it is small, over the course of a few days the staff became very accustomed to our continuous questions. The rooms themselves were very large, with huge bathrooms and power showers - very much needed in such a cold environment.

The only thing that the hotel lacked was a good evening menu. Breakfast was lovely, and quite fancy as well, but the night time menu was quite poor. This wasnt the worst thing ever as the town is only less than 10 mins by taxi (about 30zl or €7.50).

Loved the location as it was walking distance of the ski slope, and just a short distance from the town so the area was very peaceful. Fantastic for families or couples, but for groups looking to go out late by night, somewhere in Zakopane town would suit better as this was a quiet, small hotel.

Really loved it and will defo be going back!

A fantastic stay at a beautiful, charming hotel. The exterior looks like a small castle, nestled among the mountains in the background. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was great, as was the dinner service. It is a short ride to the center of town, but away from the noise and crowds. Ideal for hikers and lovers of nature. Rooms were very nice, although my single was a bit tiny.

Room Tip: My single room was a bit small, and it may have been the only "single" in the hotel that w...

We have just returned from a Christmas 3 day break spent in Dwor. Karolowka. What a great place! The rooms were good and the food was absolutely excellent.
We had a lovely Christmas there. It is a little way out of town but is only a quick taxi trip or bus trip. The staff were very helpful and we will definitely return there maybe to see Zakopane in Spring/Summer and would not hesitate to spend Christmas there again

Though traveled via public transport it was cheap and easy to get to, two hours on the bus at a cost of £8 return from Krakow, then a local bus for 60p, to draw up-to a lovely chalet, though the way in was quite hard for an English man to find, once inside nicely greeted and treated, as to my inclusive hour in the health club area being booked too.
Off to the room which was very nice double with en-suite and balcony as well as all the extra paraphernalia that the room includes, the young lass on the bar being the only local that works there, able to serve and liaise with ease, the chap on reception brought a birthday gift to my room, nice bottle of wine.
The menu was huge choice, in the end i went for the platter for two, yes dining alone, as well as a bottle of red, the meal was faultless, barring the frozen wedges....which i did not eat...
I will return if back in that area and anyone in krakow should have an overnighter like me...the whole thing less than £50...more than a night on the town with no hotel !!!

After a lot of research we decided to stay at Karolowka on a 5 day trip in february. It seemed to be a good choice from what we had read and seen from hotel pictures. We wanted to stay a bit away from Zakopane centre but not too far. We thought it would be easy to do some trekking directly from the hotel, but this was not the case. We wanted sauna and jacuzzi and a decent restaurant as well. First thing, the room was quite small, but ok otherwise. Worse was it wasn´t cleaned! There were a previous guests´clothes in the drawer and bottles under the bed. We got an excuse but no other compensation. The staff was very nice but seemed to work in the reception, bar and restaurant at once = slow service. The breakfast was good but I would skip the dinner. For example we got pirogis without filling and the kitchen could not make us another portion. Quite strange actually.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of the ski season. The hotel was very nice and the staff were even better. They tried very hard to please us in every aspect and if there was any English that was difficult for them they found someone who could understand us or we used hand gestures with a lot of good humoured laughing together. There was no task or question too difficult.
The hotel is a long way from the town, approx 30min walk or a few minutes in a taxi but we chose it for it's distance as we wanted a nice and relaxed time which we got. When we went walking we had a nice relaxing time in their private and free jacuzzi afterwards.
The restaurant is nice but my only point I would make here is that it almost has too many choices available for food. Otherwise good standard fare.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good relaxing time especially to get away from the crowds and families.

We stayed for three nights at the end of August. There was a wedding party the first night. They gave us a room on the top floor so we would not be disturbed by the party noise. Overall a nice hotel, with a good breakfast, and good rates. The hotel looks great inside and out, and the rooms are spacious and nicely done. It's slightly out of the way from Zakopane in a quiet area. We liked that, but since we had our own car, transportation was never an issue.

We did not try the restaurant there, so I don't know how good lunch and dinner is. They have free parking and wifi.
