In the middle of the main street of the formerly Jewish area of Krakow this well fitted and comfortable hotel is an ideal choice for tourists wishing to absorb the atmosphere of the past.Named after Helena Rubinstein, who lived in Krakow until 18 years old I can recommend wholeheartedly this hotel as a well-placed base.

Nice hotel with a flair for the imagination. Hotel situated in the former Jewish Ghetto of Warsaw. Very comfortable.

This hotel purports to be a first class hotel. It is a charming place all things considered, the time frame and the place with memories of World War ii all painted throughout. The name "Rubinstein" is used as a commercial attraction for clients. The menorahs printed on the bath towels are out of place... The dining staff is not attentive to customers during breakfast with long waits from the kitchen. Large buffet but not attended: no attention to details with food on the floor several days in a row, table chairs that need repair, and a service personnel who is not attentive to hotel clients.

A strange attitude for sure when you go to Krakow with the usual problems between Jewish and Polish: we were visiting Poland on business and because of scheduling problems asked the reception to arrange visit of Auschwitz-Birkenau camp located 60 kms away. Great chauffeur..but the shock was to be asked when we returned from that "was the trip fun" and *did you have a great time"? I was shocked and that did put a damper on our stay.

This was our THIRD time staying at the WONDERFUL Hotel Rubinstein and we have already booked for our next visit...so that should certainly tell you a lot !
My husband and I cannot praise this hotel and its fabulous staff enough. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they go the extra mile to make your stay a wonderful memorable experience .
Everyone we come in contact with at the Rubinstein are friendly , professional and approachable and will do their utmost to make your stay with them a happy and uplifting experience.
An example of good customer service is ..... During our time there a group of Americans booked in , on their 1st morning ordering cooked breakfasts they seemed to have some difficulty with the " European " descriptions on the breakfast menu ......next morning we noted the American guests were offered menus with North American descriptions for ordering cooked eggs etc etc . Made life a lot simpler for the waiting staff and also made for a " quieter " atmosphere for everyone else to enjoy their breakfasts !!!
The breakfasts are a wonderful " feast" , just the ticket to set you up for a day of sightseeing and being " out and about " .
The Continental selection is beautifully and artistically displayed and every conceivable option is covered , everything from seasonal fresh fruits to scrummy pastries !
Cooked breakfast is a delight .I can recommend the French style pancakes , they are so light and fluffy that the only thing stopping them floating off the plate is the delicious topping of summer fruits , lol.
However, my favourite cooked breakfast has to be the omelette ...again wonderfully light and fluffy and with a great selection of fillings to choose from .
Service is courteous and unobtrusive and of the highest stand .
We can throughly recommend the restaurant to dine in as we eat there almost each night of our stay and we have never been disappointed by anything we have ordered ... it is fine dining at its best and truly worthy of its Michelin recommendations.
During our stay temperatures climbed to the high 90'sF and it was lovely to sit outside under parasols with ice cold drinks or a coffee after a day of sightseeing watching the world go by ..........couples arm in arm , horse drawn carriages driving through the square ( it really is more a square than a street ! ) and tourist taking in the sights and atmosphere whilst being driven around in little electric powered carts .
At night sitting outside the hotel drinking Old Krupnick , listening to music being played by a trio of musicians outside a nearby eaterie on a warm summers night after a heavenly meal with my husband ......was romantic enough ....and then a flower seller came along selling beautiful long stemmed red roses from a wicker basket ..............first she asked me to chose which rose I preferred .....then she presented it to my husband so he could give it to me . The rose even had a little plastic reservoir container filled with water on the bottom of the stem to help keep it fresh. This just rounded off a beautiful romantic evening .
As I mentioned before , the staff go out of their way to be helpful and to assist you .
I have arthritis in one hip and when its playing up I have to use a walking stick on those bothersome days so as we had planned a visit to Wawel Royal Castle we asked the receptionist if he would ring for a taxi to drop us off there as I could not walk the distance .
When the taxi driver arrived ( a matter of minutes ) the receptionist explained to him in Polish about my mobility issue and told him to drive us the whole way up the hill to the gate and not to drop us off at the bottom of the hill ( which is the norm ) . This was very thoughtful of him and another good example of the high standard of service from the staff.
We love the Rubinstein , the location , the atmosphere , the service & food but most of all we love the way the staff and management all work as a team to make each stay a truly amazing experience which keeps us coming back time after time .
They are ALL fantastic ambassadors for the hotel and for Poland .
We are soooooo looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Rubinstein and Krakow our favourite city .

We found the staff to be exceptional, what service as 5 star hotels, we fuond our room was beautiful. with thoughtful touch's everywhere you looked and a fabulous bathroom phone. We loved the beautiful restaurant wich serviced breakfast only with the highest standard and well, we would stay here again in a heart beat - in fact, the wole Krakow experience was wonderful with Rubinstein setting the scene for a truly great time. A couple of extra notes of thanks to the wonderful staff who checked us in 8am on our very arrival and treated us like we were the only guests in the hotel - this is service at its very best!

I cannot begin to tell you how incredible a stay we had at the Hotel Rubinstein in July 2011. I organized a trip with 22 family members from the United States and Israel and the Hotel Rubinstein staff worked very hard to make our stay memorable and provided exceptional service. Their quality service began early when the first reservations and accommodations were reserved in late 2010. They provided a group discount rate and reserved rooms without hesitation. Via the Internet, they addressed all of my questions quickly and clearly.

Their outdoor café is utterly wonderful with many options for dining and drinking (including superb Polish vodkas). The complimentary breakfast they provide each morning was like nothing I'd ever seen before. It included fish, cheeses, fresh croissants, cappuccinos, fruits, Polish sausages and much more. Utterly incredible!

When I asked to organize a group dinner, they put me in contact with their restaurant manager Rafal who not only discussed menu options with me but reserved a private dinner room in their vintage cellar. They provided a large monitor for which I could play a video related to the family history. The meal itself was exceptional! They had fantastic wines, Polish-themed entrées, and desserts. Their chicken noodle soup and pierogis are just delicious. Special kudos to Rafal and his staff. I cannot say thank you enough!

The hotel staff were most accommodating and coordinated a bus for two days to allow us to see some of the local sights. The location of the hotel in the old Jewish Quarter is perfect. When my power converter failed, they even sent someone to get me a new one and only charge me for its cost.

Without question, I would not hesitate to return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone who would like to experience fine service in a great location in in Kraków.

Special thanks to Thomasz, Kamil, Agnieszka, Rafal, and the other Rubinstein Staff!

Two couples and a single traveled to Krakow for a long weekend and opted for the Hotel Rubenstein. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. This small boutique hotel is located in the heart of Kazimierz - a really nice area for wandering around on the cobblestone streets but a bit of a distance away from the Stare Miasto.

Both of the couples were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded into absolutely stunning, spacious suites with loads of character. Big, comfy beds, high-quality linens, nice upholstered furniture, beautiful marble bathroom with some very special lighting and big windows overlooking the cobblestone street in the Kazimierz area. We were duly impressed! The breakfast in the morning is not your typical hotel breakfast - the Rubenstein offers a real feast - big selection of hot and cold foods - buffet for the cold items and cooked to order eggs and sausages.

We found the staff at the Rubenstein to be extremely friendly and helpful and everyone who we spoke with provided directions and recommendations in excellent English.

We would wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a really nice place to stay in Kazimierz to check out the Rubenstein!
