“Great hotel at a great value, lovely staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

What you get for the price at this friendly little old-fashioned hotel is astounding. It is comfortable, quiet, calm and attractive. A friend and I stayed here in July. We had the triple on the top floor (no elevator, narrow staircase--would not work for those with mobility problems). Do not expect luxury or 4-star amenities--that's not the Pugetow. It is a classic little hotel in the old style updated a bit with modern comforts, but retaining truly old-fashioned, gracious service.

No lobby and a cellar breakfast room. Wonderful beds, good water pressure, excellent air conditioning in the hot muggy Polish summer. Pretty rooms. A quick walk to Rynek Glowny and all the glory of the old town. Easy walk to Kazimierz.

I hope to return.

Room Tip: We were in "the back." I would choose that side of the hotel for maximum quiet.

Only a 3 star hotel but a great place nonetheless. Small hotel with a small number of rooms but the staff were absolutely wonderful and it is in a good location only about ten minutes' walk from the market square. We had a room with a sitting room on the ground floor which was very nice. Breakfast was very good. Served in the cellar breakfast room and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. If you are on a budget but want a nice experience then here's your place to stay in Krakow.

We are just back from 4 wonderful nights in Hotel Pugetow.Unlike large impersonal hotels ,staying here is like staying with friends.Beautiful fresh breakfast buffet every morning with freshly brewed milky coffee to order. Also, we had freshly scrambled eggs every morning cooked to perfection by Agnieska. Our room which was Number 5 on the second floor was spacious with very high skylights. There is a porthole type window in the room which adds character.I have nothing negative to say at all about this lovely place, a home from home. The staff are all so kind and helpful. We can't wait to go back, elena, dublin.

Room Tip: Second floor was very quiet. If you have mobility issues be aware that there is no lift.

I loved my stay at Hotel Pugetow. First off, Mrs. Nieniewska is the nicest reception manager I have ever met. She always has a smile on her face, and I witnessed her speaking 4 languages fluently (Polish, Russian, English and French)-- I wonder how many more she knows? I had Room 5 and it was gorgeous, clean and the perfect mix of modern (bathroom) and historic. I did not expect such a spacious room so it was a very nice surprise. It even had 2 closets! You also cannot beat the location -- a very short walk to the Stare Miasto. Breakfast, and the woman who served breakfast was also incredibly kind and hospitable. I looked forward to a nice meal each morning, and the hours are flexible enough for early risers and those of us who like to sleep in :). I was thrilled with this hotel and do not have a single complaint, which, if you read any of my other reviews on trip advisor, you will see is rare for me.

Room Tip: If you have limited mobility, you will want to stay on the ground floor, as there are stairs.

I can only say good things about our stay at Hotel Pugetow - all the staff are so attentive & couldn't do enough for us whether it be suggesting restaurants or bars and offering advice on tours etc.
Our room was well appointed, very comfortable and clean with a great shower and the breakfast was superb!
You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Hotel Pugetow is first rate, from the friendly and accommodating staff to our beautifully appointed suite in this cozy, small, boutique hotel. Off the street, it's quiet, yet nicely placed for access.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights in August, booked on the basis of all the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the main square and also the smaller square where we spent most of our time. We stayed in Room 5 which was on the top floor, this may be an issue for the less mobile but it was fine for us and helped us work off a few calories. The room was very spacious with a separate dressing area and very smart bathroom with a decent shower and a hairdryer. The staff were lovely and very helpful, arranging for us to have a transfer back to the airport and also booking a restaurant for the night we arrived. The breakfast room was lovely, full of character and there was a lovely buffet spread and also eggs cooked if you required them. The hotel also offered to arrange tours for us if we needed them but as the weather was so lovely we just stayed in the city. We went on a walking tour (free) and also a boat trip down the river and visited the Castle, Jewish Quarter and the main square where there was loads to see. I can recommend a tour of the city in one of the horse-drawn carriages, they are beautiful, in fact we did two, one in the day and one at night.
