“Amazing. Free Tuesdays.”
This place was not in any of the Cracow/Krakow guide books or on any of the tours. It should be.
When we went it was cold and snowing which gave a real 'cold war' vibe to the place.
I am no 'plane nerd' and would never consider going to Farnborough show or any UK military museum, but if you think you would like to see cool Russian MiG fighters from the Cold War, WW1 German fighter planes taken from Hermann Goerring's private collection, the ONLY Polish PZ-11 fighter in the world, Polish Spitfire, Sopwith Camel and a cold war museum to rival any in Berlin this is a must. Been to Cracow twice, done salt mines, cathedral, Jewish quarter, Auschwitz, several museums, this was my most memorable experience. Having said that, on a mild day without snow it would be interesting, but not 'atmospheric'. To get there take tram to AWF, cross road so you start walking back in opposite direction, keep going till you see plane wing sticking out of ground, walk down the road to the right, keep going a few hundred metres till you see sycamore leaf shaped building, which is the museum.
